Walking near traffic pregnant — pollution and fears about harming baby

I live on the corner of two very busy streets and unfortunately, need to walk outside in the traffic. I’m worried about what the fumes might do to my baby. Anyone have experience with this in previous pregnancies?

I’m sure the baby will be fine, do you have the weather app on your phone? I use mine to check the air quality, and right now it says “moderate” so it’s not that great in my area today. You can also google the air quality in your area.

You cannot live in bubble wrap.  Be happy you get outside and are able to enjoy the outdoors.

There are too many articles stating the dangers of traffic pollution on the developing brain.  Is this just fear mongering?
