**This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ballgame. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.

@sunshine134 yes to the time travel! I would use it to solve all these cases on Unsolved Mysteries
@britters314 I hope he can get some reassurance. The whole process is so nerve wracking!

@britters314 Ah, anxiety, I know her well. I hope your strategies prove effective and he finds some reassurance and peace of mind.
@winterecho Yay for good timing! FX this is your round!! I’m sure it hasn’t felt that way to you, but from where I’m sitting it seems like your three IUIs have happened so quickly. Have I just lost track of time, or are the cycles for IUI shorter than the “typical” 28 days?
Diagnosis (if you've been): Unexplained
Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): Benched
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Waiting for PGT-M test to be developed
How are things going?: Made the decision to do all the testing we can. PGT-M, especially for the genetic condition we’re carriers for, comes with a whole development process that can take months. It often includes needing blood samples and/or cheek swabs from family members to help isolate the affected genes. Currently waiting to hear if the lab will accept our case, and then we’ll see what our process entails.
How am I feeling? Meh. Somewhat relieved I won’t be dealing with all the emotions and discomfort of retrieval during the holiday season. We’ve mostly kept our infertility to ourselves, so nervous about having to reveal where we’re at in the process if/when we need family help for PGT-M.
Any questions?:
GTKY: If you could have any superpower, what would you pick? Huh, this question makes me realize I have very little interest in fantasy. Not technically superpowers, but since they feel superhuman: I think it’d be really cool to be a super taster or have perfect pitch.

@winterecho yes more sleep please!!!! Especially when we get further into fall. Can't wait for that extra hour of sleep from falling back for daylight saving ending. Woo! lol
@aisleofviewtwo I wonder if there's some way to phrase "hey we need your DNA for genetic testing reasons" that doesn't include the fact that you have embryos. That way they don't actually know you've already gone through IVF.
@virginiaham thanks for the reply! I just to Quest on Wednesday for those labs so I'll keep you posted on how much it changed. I should look back at my labs from the last time I was on levothyroxine and see how much it changed over time. I know it's possible to get well under 2 for me so I'm not worried about getting in range. I just don't know if he expects it to get below the 2.5 in 3 weeks. We'll see!

@winterecho Ugh, how awkward! I think there’s a very human tendency to want to connect with others about the things we’re going through. But still: talk about yourself, people, and let others share if and when and how they choose. FWIW my go-to answer to that question has just become “when the time is right.”
@virginiaham I already have an update for you! My TSH dropped from 4.47 to 1.7!
@aisleofviewtwo how many family members would you need to gather DNA from? Do you need more than immediate family? Hopefully you don't need too many so you don't have to clue in too many people

My understanding is that test development is really a case by case basis: they start with the couple and then keep broadening out until they get the info they need. We’ll almost certainly need immediate family, but may need to extend out to cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. on the affected side of the gene pool as well.
Hey ladies, at what dpo with a BFN do you stop progesterone suppositories?
