Upcoming appointments: next Monday, normal checkup
How are you feeling? Getting over allergies/some cold. Still a little sore in my pelvis region after sitting/laying down but it's gotten more tolerable or less painful. Realization is setting in this baby will be here in 10 weeks (or less!) Going to start getting my hospital bag out and leave open so I can add/take away as time progresses. We have a first name picked out, but haven't picked a middle name yet and I still haven't scheduled all the pictures I want taken so feeling frazzled about making those decisions.
Raves/Rants:
Questions: moms of same sex multiples, did you change nursery themes for new ones or did anyone reuse the same theme? I don't want #2 to just get everything brother had, but don't want to buy a new set of stuff since we're not having a sprinkle. I just figured I'd get more use out of the same stuff than buy more and have to deal with putting away/getting rid of my first son's theme. Already feeling like second baby is getting robbed of an experience if I don't make his own theme, but he probably won't be in his own for for a while anyways. Ahhh so confusing!
Upcoming appointment: Ultrasound tomorrow!!! And regular ob Thursday
How are you feeling: hungry. Hungry all the time. I am consuming so much food in one day, it is obnoxious. I think this baby is a sumo wrestler trying to make weight.
Also have developed a terrible dry eye thanks to pregnancy hormones🤷. And my pregnancy brain is in full swing. I think I only have one brain cell up there
Rants and raves: We have also picked out our name! First name pairs nicely with older son. Middle name was chosen after my oncologist. ❤️ can't wait to show him this little miracle that exists because he saved my life!
@jordieburd I think you should do whatever feels right for you and your budget! Our second will be sharing our room until new house is built. I bought a few small decorations to put in his "area" but not a lot. We will let him pick some decorations for his room when we move to the big house!
I hope everyone had a good shower this weekend! If I'm remembering correctly, there were quite a few of you celebrating baby!!

How are you feeling? Finally starting to calm down a bit now that we have most of the stuff cleared out of the room that's going to be the nursery and our baby shower is coming up on Sunday. Other than that, my heartburn has been worse than ever and walking is getting more difficult. We took a weekend trip down to Disney for our anniversary and walked around Epcot on Saturday...I didn't get very far on Sunday because my hips were sore from Saturday, but we still had a great time!
Raves/Rants: So, my best friend since like middle school is coming for our baby shower this weekend (I purposefully asked for it to be co-ed since he's a guy and he should get to celebrate with us too) but he is the worst planner in the world. No one told me he was coming (it was supposed to be a surprise) but then he sent me his flight itinerary - flying into an airport over 2 hr from us - and asked if me or my husband can get him/drop him back off...then also asked to crash at our house. 🤦🏼♀️ Luckily, my mom reached out to him and got him to change his flight to a closer airport and said that either she or my dad would get him, so that's a little less stress, but he's still planning to stay with us and I really want to get the room painted before the shower so we can start organizing/decorating after. Guess we'll see how it all goes...
Questions: None at the moment.
@jordieburd This is my first, but I'm purposely painting the walls of the nursery a gray color so that if we have a boy as a second we won't need to paint, just change out the decor, but if we have another girl we can just keep everything the same/similar. Obviously some of the personalized name things will move with her, but I'm doing like a gray/pink/white floral thing that would be easy to work with if we have a second girl. @clt2pwm11 Love that the middle name is after your oncologist! Such a sweet gesture and I'm sure he'll be so happy to meet your son.
@jordieburd Neither of my kids even had a theme (just plain white walls, and we use sleep sacks, so no bedding) and neither of them cared. In fact I'm 95% certain neither remembers their nursery, so I wouldn't worry. What we did was let them choose their own "big kid" themes when they were about 3 and they loved that We'll do the same this time around.
@clt2pwm11 So happy you're still here and love the name idea!
@dmcg17 Sounds like your friend will be a great help for painting And thank goodness for helpful parents!

How are you feeling? Tired! 🥱
Raves/Rants: My belly has dropped. And it feels like she’s down there. I’m super uncomfortable at this point. I’m not getting any sleep at night. I’m just ready to have my body back.
Questions: Has anyone else experienced lightening or has your bellies began to drop?
Baby is the size of a(n): baby's hand is the size of a match stick

How are you feeling? Tired and a bit overwhelmed with social expectations right now. I have a wedding today, and also promised to be by my cousin for the weekend, but then I'm super tired and really just want to stay at home and catch every minute of sleep. My appointments are ramping up, and they're all in the early morning so that I don't miss work, but absolutely kills my energy for the day. And heartburn. My God. I didn't think it could get worse. But otherwise keeping active and baby is doing so well!!
Raves/Rants: I need to pack my hospital bag!! Something keeps stopping me, maybe I'm in denial about how much our lives are about to change (ftm). Seems unreal that I'll be holding our precious little baby in less than six weeks!?!!
Questions: been looking for clothes for baby, and not sure what to do about winter outerwear for baby. It's cold in NY already, and thought I would get a snowsuit type of coat, but they don't have a lot for babies. I read that most people discourage it because it's not as safe in a car seat, and people use car seat bundlers... But I really wonder how warm it keeps baby... Any moms looked into this, given our babies are due in the winter?
@sweetleeyah Idk if my belly dropped, but I definitely think I'm breathing easier and carrying low... And in the bathroom about five times a night(can't trust my counting after that)... It's almost a relief though, I like breathing
Baby is the size of a(n): Four packs of baby wipes, apparently

Upcoming appointments: Regular appointment on the 30th
How are you feeling? Uncomfortable. Things are getting tight and baby is fighting against it. My pubis symphysis pain also isn't getting better. I'll ask for a prescription for a support belt at my appointment next week.
Raves/Rants: I'm in the minority, but I don't like the feeling of having someone else moving inside my body, and now that the movements are so strong and inside of my ribs it's really giving me the heebie jeebies. The OB said it has something to do with my abdominal wall - apparently I feel more than others. Regardless of the reason, I'm feeling ready to have this baby on the outside!
We put together Baby's closet in a corner of our room and all of the smaller stuff is cleaned up and ready. The only thing I have left to do is one load of wash. Come onnnnn, December!
Also, my neighbor (a 16yo boy) was selling his TV chair. I asked if it would work as a nursing chair and he looked at me like I was from another planet Anyway, it doesn't really rock, but other than that it's perfect and I now have a nursing chair
@chelleylin I am having this same issue. My first baby was almost never in the car (when he was we used a thin fleece suit under the straps with a blanket on top) and my second baby was born in warmer weather. For this one I received a car seat bundle like you mentioned. I have no idea how warm it is and what she needs to wear under it. It also makes a difference how long you'll be in the car and how long you'll be outside. If baby has time to warm up then cool back down, you'll need something you can open and close easily (like a car seat bundle). Sorry, that was a lot of text for "I don't know". Hopefully someone else has experience!

Upcoming appointments: week 34 appt 11/9
How are you feeling? Exhausted, constant back and hip pain, baby is pushing on ribs as well which is so uncomfortable. Suddenly have lost my appetite which was a shock but apparently it’s because he’s pushing on my diaphragm and stomach.
Raves/Rants: okay so I may be crazy- but at my 8 week scan they put me at 12/23 due date. But when I look at my last period, ovulation days (tracked by basal temp and ovulation urine test) I am more like 33 weeks. Baby is sitting super low in my pelvis but doctor is acting like the 8 week scan is gospel and my due date is correct. It’s just frustrating feeling like I’m further along (symptoms line up with 33week symptoms) and being told all that data is invalid.
Questions: what size bag are you guys using for hospital bag? Tried a backpack but I’m running out of room so I was thinking of switching to a duffel bag but worried I may just be over packing.
How are you feeling? My right ribs hurt usually in the evenings and the center of my stomach near my sternum is feeling strained but other than that really good! I get fatigued easily but I am sleeping much better at night for whatever reason.
Raves/Rants: I had an ultrasound on Monday and could see the baby practicing breathing which was really cool.
@benderisgreat12-23 I go by my lmp which puts me at 34 weeks 1 day my doctor goes by 8 week ultrasound which puts me at 32 weeks 6 days. The thing is my husband drives trucks so I know when I conceived he wasn’t home for me to conceive at the due date my doctor put me at. But I just go by my due date.
@benderisgreat12-23 My Eight week scan turned into my six week scan according to measurements... But according to timing and ovulation and the fact that I got a positive pregnancy test at what I thought was five weeks but the DR says was 3 (and not an early response test) makes me think I'm further along than what the measurements said... That said, baby's on track with the DRs measurements, and I haven't really been able to differentiate symptoms between two weeks... Aside for the fact that baby definitely dropped and I'm tired as heck. I go with the doctor's due date because there's really no value for me keeping to my assumptions. Whenever the baby's born, it'll be born!
Just got a positive home test yesterday. Based on conception date, estimated due date June 26 - 29. Based on LMP, due July 2nd.
This will be our 3rd together (my husband has 2 kids from before).
I am still mostly in shock. Trying to acclimate. Trying to face the fact that, no, we WON'T soon be done with diapers. Current littles are 4 and 2.
Thing is... I was SURE that we were done, because I am about to turn 45 years old (my birthday is tomorrow). Looks like I'll talk to my doc about options after this new one arrives!
Upcoming appointments: Regular checkup + ultrasound on Monday
How are you feeling? I’m feeling tired and my digestive system feels off. I guess because the bump is squishing everything. I’m starting to get a little heart burn at night. I feel full and heavy all the time. My lower back is always aching too. I’m feeling and seeing so much movement!! It’s so amazing but also so weird at the same time haha
Raves/Rants: Our baby shower is on Saturday, and I’m so excited! I’m ready to have all of his things so I can start washing and organizing. We are doing a special 4D ultrasound tomorrow, and I cannot wait to see him again!
Questions: What are you guys taking for heartburn and acid reflux?
@benderisgreat12-23 You'll definitely want something with room, or just take an extra empty bag for all the stuff the hospital will send home with you. I'm taking a duffel bag, big enough for nursing pillow and clothes and toiletries but going to try to leave enough room for the stuff they'll send with you.
Upcoming appointments: two weeks I’ll have and ultrasound to see if baby is head down and the the fun group B swab
How are you feeling? Pregnancy carpal tunnel has entered the chat. I wake up at night to my right hand feeling numb, I’m pretty tired but doing okay otherwise
Raves/Rants: baby shower this Saturday and I’m excited to get all that we need for baby boy!

Raves/Rants: had our baby shower over the weekend! I feel more prepared now in terms of what essential items are left to buy before the baby arrives.
