Today I went for my 28 week ultrasound-growth scan. My baby is breech and has been the whole time. I did not get any pictures printed! I’ve never been to an appointment and not gotten anything. She showed me his profile and then just kept going. Right after that I had my appointment with an OB. I was told that my OB would be on vacation this week and I would have to see a different provider. Which is fine. Until I went to schedule a follow up with my OB and was told by the receptionist that she’ll be on leave for three months 🙃 I get that things happen and people have to go on leave but this is my second pregnancy and she went on leave with my first and is now on leave again. Plus before I left I had to get blood re-drawn because I need the rhogam shot and they need the type and screen completed within 72 hours… and I went and had it completed two weeks ago because no one mentioned this. All of my future OB appointments are with all different people.

I’m focusing on the positives: I have a healthy baby, I’ll give birth with some doctor there and everything is okay.

I’m just annoyed and needed to vent about my day. P.s. I have to drive back to the hospital in the morning to get my rhogam shot

Completely valid feelings!!! 

That is really annoying and hopefully it is something outside of your OBs control that she is taking that leave and didn't just knowingly do it all along because I'm sure you would've preferred someone else had you known. 

Healthy baby over everything for sure! 

I'm using a midwife and they don't believe in doing growth scans typically unless there's reason to after your 20 week and I didn't know that so I didn't print any (my boy like to lay spine out and not cooperate for any profile photos). So now I have none and unless I have complications I won't get any. 

Vent away any time!

Depending on where you get your ultrasounds done, they may have an online portal with a record of your ultrasounds. I had to pay a yearly fee (nothing crazy) to have access and I can see all my photos from ultrasounds as well as anything I’ve had done there in the past. Fingers crossed for you!

It does suck but at least you will have some positives ❤️
