(Only If you know already!) Team blue/pink/green: blue!
Upcoming Appointments: 10/26
How are you feeling?: pretty good! Exhaustion is getting a bit better.
Rants/Raves: none
Questions: when are you telling work? Last time I was WFH because of COVID so I waited awhile. However my one coworker who knows told me she could tell today lol and I'm wondering if I should tell my boss soon. We are close and he's great so I don't have any worries about telling him, just don't wanna do it too soon.
GTKY: Do you have any pets? Soooooo yes. A lot of them 😂 6 dogs and 5 cats (we rescue). The 5th cat we actually took in about 1 month ago and realized last week she may be pregnant. Saturday at 2 AM she had 5 kittens under my daughter's bed!
Upcoming Appointments: 10/23 for first scan and blood work
How are you feeling?: much better overall! Nausea is slowing down but still always tired
Rants/Raves: my husband started his new job so that’s a rave. But the next month or so of bills are going to be behind so that’s a rant. But not much we can do right now.
Questions: ETA: anyone else lose weight in first tri? I’ve lost 12 lbs so far but I was overweight to begin with. Never quite lost all my baby weight 😬
GTKY: Do you have any pets?
We have two dogs and a cat but my in laws have 1 dog and 3 cats so total at the house are 3 and 4 lol it’s kinda crazy sometimes.
@bserena I had to tell some people at work pretty early because my job was physical. Last time I didn’t tell my boss until 12 weeks. Isn’t it lovely when people say they knew? Lol it’s like thanks for noticing the bloat babe 🤣 if I was still working I’d probably be most comfortable after my 12 week scan.
That’s so surprising about the kittens!! Wow you must have a really full house! I’d like to have more animals but they’re just so much work and very expensive so I have to restrain myself lol
(Only If you know already!) Team blue/pink/green: Waiting to find out any day now. My husband decided he is going to open the results and then surprise me.
Upcoming Appointments: 11/2 will be my 12 week
How are you feeling?: Terrible. Taking it day by day and praying the incessant nausea subsides earlier than 18 weeks this time.
Rants/Raves: It should be illegal to have to function in the 1st tri
Questions:
GTKY: Do you have any pets? We have a female Vizsla named Beacon. She is super active but the biggest snuggle bug.
(Only If you know already!) Team blue/pink/green: don’t know yet
Upcoming Appointments: 11/3 for NIPT and checkup
How are you feeling?: This has been my worst week for nausea/vomiting so far. I’ve lost 7 pounds and yesterday I had vomited so much I found blood in it, I called the doctor on call and she wanted me to start a medication to ease the vomiting. I’m glad she did bc before I could pick up the medication the throwing up kept getting worse and I hadn’t been able to keep any food or water down for the previous 24 hours at that point. I started promethazine last night and it’s allowed me to eat much better since. Hopefully it keeps working and doesn’t hurt baby.
Rants/Raves: OKAY @virtaur mentioned people saying “they knew” when you told them, that is my absolute biggest pet peeve. My MIL loves to say this. Like no you didn’t, if you “did” it’s bc I mentioned we’re going to try soon otherwise, no, you didn’t. I should mention my MIL lives 6 hours away and truly has no way of actually knowing. It comes across so arrogant to me when people say that.
Questions:
GTKY: Do you have any pets? We have two dogs, a morkiepoo and a border collie mix.
(Only If you know already!) Team blue/pink/green: we don’t know yet. Here in the Netherlands it isn’t allowed to find out the gender via the NIPT, so we have to wait (at least until half November) to find out via an ultrasound.
Upcoming Appointments: blood draw for NIPT on Friday, ultrasound on November 3rd.
How are you feeling?: TIRED
Rants/Raves: visited the midwife yesterday and had an ultrasound. It was great!
Questions: -
GTKY: Do you have any pets? Yes, a rabbit and a couple of fish.
@bserena my manager and one of my direct co-workers know. We have a great working relationship and when talking about workplans fornext year I didn’t want to lie to them. I’ll tell the rest of my team when I’m 12 weeks.
(Only If you know already!) Team blue/pink/green: Green
Upcoming Appointments: I had my Ultrasound today and we confirmed baby is there and growing with a good strong heartbeat! Thankfully baby is placed well a way from my c scar so no more fears about that anymore either
How are you feeling?: so exhausted and the nausea has started strong
Rants/Raves: feeling still nervous but finally allowed myself to feel excited today
Questions:
GTKY: Do you have any pets? Nope but I would love some
Team ? We are waiting for our genetic testing results but we should know in maybe a week and a half? Which is craaaazy.
Upcoming apt: nov 16th for my next general ob appt. I had my 12 week last week (I was 11 weeks though) and had my early glucose (had GD with my second child), and I passed!!! So I may still develop GD later but I at least can have Christmas treats without worrying! Yay! Also good blood work done for genetic testing.
Feeling: cranky, tired. Moved on from the all day nausea to just gagging all day long.
Rave: passed the glucose. Rant: gotta start taking baby aspirin next week I guess. So many extra things to do when you’re AMA.
GTKY: We have an 8 year old vizsla/black lab mix. She’s a nut. But we love her.
