GTKY: What is your ideal week long vacation?

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a lime. But I like the 1.6” long my pinky is about 2” long so it’s more easy to imagine. 

Upcoming appointments: Wednesday 10-11 I have the nt ultrasound. 

How are you feeling?: generally fine. Gaggy a few times a day, I have a cold that started last week and wiped me out the past two days. Thankfully not Covid. 

Rants/Raves: I need to get my flu and Covid vaccines and I don’t want them at the same time but I don’t want to go twice. 

Questions: 

Do you want to find out the sex of baby, why or why not? I do. I have two children and the oldest one is 7.5 yr old girl and she’s autistic and she does better with information to help her expectations. So if nothing else so that she can be grounded in knowledge of our start point with this one. Also I have all my favorite things from her and all my favorite things from my son (4.5) and I need to downsize to make room. So knowing will help me pair the items down to a more reasonable amount. Many of them are neutral but I have a ton of super girly things specifically that if I don’t need I’ll give away. 

GTKY: What is your ideal week long vacation? 

I love visiting family and exploring. So we went to Washington state to visit my SIL for a few days in June and I would love to take a whole week and see the mountains too. We like a good Airbnb. Alternatively I personally love Disney. But my husband is less interested and my kids aren’t big enough to handle that much especially with my daughters ASD, she struggles with heat and lines and crowds and unpredictable days. So maybe we will go again when they are all bigger and she is old enough to pull away independently or with one of us if needed to find a quiet space. She loves rides so someday maybe. 

Also I didn’t answer last week because I found it today. So we have told immediate family and like 3 friends. Except for 2 of the friends we found ways to be in person which is fun. My grandmas will be told later once the kids know. They will maybe learn about it after this next appointment. Because we just want to see babykins is doing well. 

Eta: I probably posted this a few hours early. But I keep missing it. So I figured this way I don’t miss it this week and I can see everyone’s posts and get more involved.

Upcoming appointments: 16 week at the end of the month

How are you feeling?: mix of nausea & starting to have some energy

Rants/Raves: ugh my MIL wants a granddaughter BADLY and it's irritating me to no end. My husband and I are going to find out the gender at 20 weeks but I don't want to deal with the comments. All I want to hear is, I hope it's a healthy baby.

Questions: none

Do you want to find out the sex of baby, why or why not? Yes. With my first, it helped me feel more connected to baby and I could envision him growing and developing.

GTKY: What is your ideal week long vacation?
Oooh my husband and I took a vacation to St. Lucia a few years ago, to an all-inclusive resort. The thought of laying on a warm beach, having drinks and snacks brought to me all day sounds like heaven right now.

Upcoming appointments: I have 7 coming up, next is the nuchal on October 24th

How are you feeling?: Pretty good. I started taking B6 which seems to sometimes help the nausea at night. I've been getting extreme vertigo though, which is driving me nuts.

Rants/Raves: Rant for the exhaustion. I'm a sahm, but my poor hard working husband is the one getting up with our daughter lately because I'm usually sick/can't wake up.

Questions:

Do you want to find out the sex of baby, why or why not? Yes! I took the nipt, waiting on results. I didn't tell my husband because I'm surprising him with a reveal cake for our anniversary on Friday.

GTKY: What is your ideal week long vacation? Going back to the cabin in Georgia where my husband proposed. We stayed over New Year's and it was wonderful. We went horseback riding, ate amazing food, and spent so much time in hot tub that the cabin had a room with a view just for.

How are you feeling?: the nausea seems to be getting better. I am started to get more energy.

Do you want to find out the sex of baby, why or why not? I  want to find out because I need to know if I need boy stuff instead of girl stuff 

GTKY: What is your ideal week long vacation? I would need a spa day with a view near by to just sit and admire

Upcoming appointments: 10/24 - 15 week check in

How are you feeling?: I don’t have to nap most days but when the afternoon hits I’m TIRED 🥱 

Rants/Raves: we are in the middle of moving and my in-laws are being such a-holes. I don’t understand why people want to make a difficult situation more challenging, especially when the couple trying to move is pregnant. But my rave is that I’m excited to finally be in my 2nd trimester! 

Questions:

Do you want to find out the sex of baby, why or why not? I did want to know, so I found out during my NIPT testing. I guess I wanted to know as a way to connect to the baby. I didn’t care what it was either way. It’s kind of a paradox that it didn’t matter if it was a girl or boy, I just wanted to know, lol 😂 

GTKY: What is your ideal week long vacation? Honestly, I’d love to be in Paris eating my fill of pain au chocolate and bread. People watching and strolling around. Go to the beautiful gardens and visit museums to see art. Such a romantic city and guh! I just love it so much!

Rants/Raves: Fatigue seems to be lasting longer this time, unless I just dont remember it with my first

Do you want to find out the sex of baby, why or why not? We found out its a boy by NIPT test. (We have a 3 year old daughter) I wanted to because after recurrent pregnancy loss I wanted something to make this pregnancy feel more real and help me connect

GTKY: What is your ideal week long vacation? Anything on the beach!
