Appointment timing

Hello! I’ve taken positive at home pregnancy tests and am estimated at 5 wks and a few days according to my last period. I have an appointment for an initial visit and ultrasound at 10 wks…did others have any appointments before their first ultrasound? A blood test to confirm? Or was your first appointment your first ultrasound at ~8-10 wks?

Perfectly normal.  No need for blood work.

My first in person appt is at 12 weeks. I have two virtual appts before that.

I also have my first appointment at 10 weeks. I did have to take an additional pregnancy test at the base hospital before I could get the referral and insurance to pay. This is also just how TriCare works.

My OB doesn’t like to see anyone til your about 8 weeks pregnant or so.
