Upcoming appointments: Glucose screening test Oct 2nd
How are you feeling? Starting to get in the mildly uncomfortable phase in different ways. Getting up and down from laying on the couch or bed is getting awkward. Feeling hot a lot of the time, I guess from the extra blood. Needing to eat smaller portions or feeling like I'm going to throw up from over eating. Had a full-blown hot flash at a restaurant the other day and it hit at the same time as severe acid reflux, so it was a miserable couple of minutes. The staff at the restaurant was super nice and accommodating though!
Raves/Rants: My libido and cervix sensitivity is wayyy better than my last pregnancy, so that's been fun to be able to enjoy this level of intimacy with my husband before belly gets too big or I get too tired. We had to stop sexytime at the 2nd trimester last pregnancy and now I can't believe I'm a few weeks away from the 3rd!
Questions: any other moms experience bad hot flashes with their pregnancy? I had a few with my son last time, right around this stage of my 2nd trimester, too, so I'm wondering if it's just the hormones at this time.
Upcoming appointments: regular check up 10/1. Going every two weeks starting in October!
How are you feeling? Overall I feel great but fatigue is back in full force.
Raves/Rants: Work has kept me super busy and has me stressed out majority of the time. Taking 4 weeks off before my due date so I’m counting down the days I can focus on the baby and not work!
Upcoming appointments: check up on the 28th along with glucose screen
How are you feeling: like I'm ready to pop. I see all these toks of pregnant women doing cross fit (if you are one of those women, good for you!) and it really makes me feel ashamed of myself. I'm barely making it up the effing stairs most days, and I'm a generallyhealthy person. I'm napping every day, trying to eat healthy (my treat is a bowl of trashy cereal each day!), and also trying to walk a mile or more each day, but I just feel awful.
Raves/rants: Hubs and son have been out of state over the weekend, so I was able to get my house really clean. It was nice to sit and enjoy the look of my house lol most of the time I'm too stressed by all the toys and clutter to enjoy relaxing at home. I also had some friends over to play board games which I haven't done in ages. That was good for my soul!
@jordieburd Yes, I had one at the hair salon recently that was AWFUL. I was so hot and also I think I got up too quickly from having my hair washed and I started to lose my vision. Also, I always sit in the balcony at church. I got so hot that during communion I went downstairs in search of cooler air. Think I'm just going to have to sit by a drafty window until babe comes.
DX PCOS + mild male factor

Current Treatment: Metformin, Provera, Letrozole, Trigger, IUI Past Treatment: Clomid + Metformin x 3 BFN Letrozole 5 mg + Trigger shot + IUI = BFP! Beta confirmed 8/22 EDD 5/1/17
Upcoming appointments: Next appt. October 2; just a regular check-up. Had my glucose test today and hoping I passed.
How are you feeling? Heartburn is just getting worse, but overall good. @jordieburd No hot flashes - but definitely feeling a lot warmer than usual. I'm someone who's always freezing, even when it's like 70 degrees and I've been very warm, haha.
Raves/Rants: Still feeling anxious and hoping that once our business conference is over we can get going on baby prep. 😬 Baby shower is planned for October 29 so I'm hoping we get lots of the necessities. So far we have a crib and dresser from my parents (that I need to build) and a stroller/car seat from my in-laws...then a bunch of random clothes, etc. that I've picked up. Just starting to feel unprepared.
Baby is the size of a(n): kale? I can't even remember but it was something leafy and green and not at all how I imagine baby looks

Upcoming appointments: regular check up 10/10, but I had my Glucose test and prenatal yoga on Thursday and met my midwife today.
How are you feeling? Positive. My regular OB finally accepted I'm doing a TOLAC this time around and my midwife is 100% on board. I met her today and she was great. We're meeting once per month until the birth, then she'll come help out with weigh-ins, etc after the birth. I also had my first prenatal yoga class (with a different midwife) and it was sooo nice! I woke up the next morning with a noticeably less painful pelvis. I had been nervous about doing exercises on my own because of my PPROM and placental abruption during my last pregnancy, and she was so supportive and I was able to really stretch and relax everything. And my midwife has some sort of pelvic massage she's going to do later as well. Yes, my acid reflux has come back and I glare at the stairs every time I see them (I feel you @clt2pwm11 !), but overall I'm just feeling positive
Raves/Rants: I already covered my raves above, but an extra cute thing is my 6yo now lays his head on my belly with his hand under his cheek and waits for the baby to give him "high fives"
@foreverhughes4123 It wasn't bad! They gave me the orange one and it almost reminded me of Sunny D, haha. Definitely gave Baby a sugar rush though and she was moving around a ton! @booksandicecream That is so cute!!!
Upcoming appointments: Thursday cardiologist because my ob doubled my dose, next is beginning of October for ob visit
How are you feeling? Mostly nauseous, vomiting brought on by intense heartburn in early morning or right before I go to sleep. It's been like this most of pregnancy, which really takes it out of me. I was preparing to host a meal for friends and then ran to the bathroom to vomit. I was in a remote (thankfully) meeting with my manager and had to stop to vomit. I think the hardest part is that when I'm not feeling particularly well, and people are too close to me, it really triggers the vomit, so I have to tell my husband to stay away a lot, which doesn't make him feel very good, but I guess he understands. Otherwise, @jordieburd, no hot flashes, no swollen feet, I've still been laying on my back a bunch but not feeling worse for it, baby is moving a lot, I passed my glucose three hour test, and I can't believe I'm in the third trimester!!!
Raves/Rants: two of them! My sister is five weeks postpartum and keeps calling me to tell me how hard it is to be a mom and how pregnancy doesn't compare in terms of how tough it is. I know she's trying to prepare me, but as it's something I want to be positive about, it really gets me upset every time she does. Second, I have quite the extended care team, some of which get very "excited"/cautious/doomsday like when they discuss my risks. Last week, an NP told me I'm very likely to be induced at 37 weeks. Ten minutes later, the Dr said that everything was fine and induction wasn't likely. The NP told me that I'm at high risk to have a stillbirth (who tells a first time anxious momma that???!) And the DR said that I'll be at high risk if the measurements or tests are very off, which they haven't been. The roller coaster is getting too much for me and I'm starting to take everything my providers say with a grain of salt. Definitely reconsidering the medical team when I next decide to go through pregnancy again.
Questions: to doula or not to doula? So many friends, family, neighbors are telling me that it's very necessary to have a doula. I'm willing to pay the money, and it gives me some comfort knowing I'll have an experienced professional there for pain management, but also imagined my husband being very part of the labor, and I feel like he'd take a backseat if there was a doula. He also seems hesitant whenever I bring it up. Any second time moms who have had a doula/ has any input to whether or not it's necessary? How a partner might take a backseat?
@chelleylin So sorry to hear about your medical team and the roller coaster they're putting you through! I feel like if they're going to tell you something as scary as being high risk for stillbirth, they should have a VERY good reason and now sound so wishy-washy about it. No reason to put you through all this anxiety if all your measurements and tests are coming back normal.

Upcoming appointments: Tomorrow for Check up!
How are you feeling? Pretty good! Just got back from an 11 day trip camping at Fort Wilderness with my in laws and my 3 girls. Tired and sore from the terrible bed but got to sleep in my own bed last night which was heaven!
Raves/Rants: Getting excited about boy things! Nervous about want to make sure baby comes either before or after Christmas. Not one of those people who wants a Christmas birthday for my kids 😂. That is Jesus’s birthday only 🤪. I’m trying hard to get fully unpacked and laundry done after our trip but I have little energy so hopefully I can get it done 😬. Just excited for the Holidays. I think it would be so fun to have a sweet little newborn during Christmas but I typically go 3/4 days late or right on time so It’s looking doubtful LOL. Hoping I get the peaceful birth center birth I wanted with my 3rd, with this one. I went from early labor to transition to pushing within like 20-30 minutes so my 3rd was born in the passenger seat of my husbands truck OUTSIDE of the birthing center. 😅 I did pray for quick labor and no need to be transferred to the hospital and those answers were definitely answered… 😂
Questions: No questions. I am hoping to have all my Christmas shopping and wrapping done the end of the Black Friday weekend, so hopefully that works out 🤪
Upcoming appointments: regular ob appointment 10/2
How are you feeling? Tired & achy…I had a prenatal massage last Friday and that helped my back and hip pain but now I’m so uncomfortable I’m going to the chiropractor Monday to be adjusted by my prenatal chiropractor.
Raves/Rants: my other 3 pregnancies I went into preterm labor so all of my children are premies. Sunday I started having contractions and I refused to go to the hospital because they tend to check you for dilation and the would have irritated my uterus more.
Baby is the size of a(n): eggplant, but it says he weighs as much as a jar of pasta sauce. I feel it 😂

Upcoming appointments: October 12th just a regular ob app I think
How are you feeling? Tired, my heartburn has been pretty bad, the relaxin has done a number on my hips. I have good days with energy and then some days I feel like I have none. We’re trucking along!
Raves/Rants: passed my glucose test! Last time I had the orange drink and this time I had the lemon lime one. Really isn’t too bad very sweet but I might be used to that 😅
We were productive and got some stuff together to toss before the move while my son stayed at my in-laws on Saturday. It was nice even if we just did that (and looked at new couches) hoping this one we looked will fit but we have to measure 😅 my husband isn’t really in a rush to pack much because we have time but I’m ready to get in there especially since the lady we’re renting from said we could move little by little. I know he’s tired though 😅
How are you feeling? I’m feeling good! I’m so excited to meet baby. I love going into his nursery and just imagine holding him and rocking him in there.
Raves/Rants: I feel like time is starting to pass more quickly now. Pregnancy was super slow in the beginning for me, but now I feel like we are really almost there! We have some exciting things coming up too like our baby shower and maternity photoshoot. I’m also really looking forward to the holidays!
@madimom95 Woo, congrats on passing! I didn’t but I’m frustrated about it because when I got the bloodwork in my email I was at 135 and the lab passed under 139 - so I thought I was all good! Then my doctor’s office called and said I failed, so I need to do the 3 hour. 🤦🏼♀️ Apparently they use 130 instead of 139, so now I go Monday to do the 3 hour test.
@dmcg17 Sorry you have to do the three hour! It's a drain on time, so bring something to do! Hopefully you'll pass, since you were so borderline! My screening was way worse (158) and passed the three hour test.
