Tamiflu question

I just tested positive for flu at 7 weeks. My doctor suggested tamiflu but I’m worried because it’s a class c drug. I’m also only having mild symptoms—body aches, mild sore throat and a fever. I’m worried about taking it, but also worried about not taking it and having the symptoms get worse. My husband is already giving me a hard time because I insisted on taking Tylenol to lower my fever. Anybody have advice

Tylenol was definitely the right call with that fever! I’d say at least get it filled so if your symptoms turn for the worst you have it. If your symptoms get to the point where you can’t keep hydrated or you can’t control the fever it would probably be best in baby’s interest to start on those meds.

I think the point of tamiflu is to take it asap to prevent worse symptoms. The longer you wait the less effective I think? Your doc wouldn’t have suggested it if they didn’t think it was safe enough.
