Hi guys, so I am 5 weeks, 1 day, last night I went to ER due to serious pain in my right side and some bleeding. I had a fall earlier in the day but did not hit my stomach or sides so I was extremely worried that the stress of the fall was causing issues. My Hcg was 375 (Saturday it was 355). Today I followed up with my OB today and she did an internal ultrasound, my numbers still aren’t high enough to see anything but she did point out that there is a pocket of fluid in my uterus. She stated she thinks that pocket is leaking and that’s where my bleeding is coming from and the bleeding is why she feels it may be a pocket of blood. She decided to not only test my HCG levels today but my progesterone levels too because that will help determine if this is an ectopic pregnancy. Has anyone else experienced this? I posted a few days ago about bleeding and it has been going on since Monday the 28th. I’m trying to stay as calm as possible but I have never experienced this with my other two successful pregnancies. I think I need guidance and any possible things this could be.
Thank you in advance
Re: Bubble of blood in uterus
You can ask your provider: what might be causing this? What is the prognosis for the possibilities? What tests are you doing? What information will X test give you/what are you looking for with X test? What should I do or not do (is bed rest recommended? Should you refrain from exercise? What are the signs you need to call or go to the ER?
I know that is scary. I hope it turns out okay for you.
