If you are a parent like me who is dipping their toes into baby led weaning do not I repeat do not purchase these bowls if you are purchasing for the suction feature of them. We have really been trying to find a good suction bowl or plate because our little one will throw the plates on the floor but these highly disappointed us.

There aren't really any bowls or plates that are meant to keep a baby from throwing them on the floor. The suction feature in those types of dishes are to keep them in place so a child attempting to scoop food doesn't get frustrated by the bowl moving rather than the food. A baby determined to throw their dishes is strong, and you do want the suction to release so you can eventually pick the bowl up.

It sounds like your baby isn't ready for dishes. Try putting the food directly on their tray!
