Re: PGAL - Week of 8/25
Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? Had a pregnancy in June, early loss in July. Was completed blindsided by the loss, wasn't even on my radar at all after two healthy, normal pregnancies (I'm aware this is common, but I feel like you never really think about it until it happens to you)
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? I wasn't sure if I would be able to get pregnant in the cycle immediately following a loss, but apparently I did. I'm definitely nervous for this one now following the loss.
Any appointment updates? I called today to schedule my first appointment, my ob previously told me they would bring me in earlier when I got pregnant again because of the previous loss. However, they are soo busy and booked up. They told me today they could bring me in 9/11 for my first appointment. They sent me for hcg today (it was 28). That number is sort of meaningless until I get another in 48 hours though.
Any big milestones? None yet.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm feeling really blessed that we were able to get pregnant right away, really really hoping for a sticky baby! I hesitated jumping into the group before I really know if this one is gonna stick, but it's a good place to chat as I'm waiting this impossible wait until a first ultrasound.
Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? Had a miscarriage at 11 weeks around Halloween last year (would have been a May 2023 baby). I had had a good ultrasound at 8 weeks, fetus measured 7w2d with a good heartbeat. When I was bleeding at 11 weeks, the fetus measured 8 weeks with no heartbeat so it happened shortly after my first US. like you, @Chickaboom88, I was surprised after having 2 healthy pregnancies.
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Feeling fine physically and mostly good emotionally. We are definitely more tentative when we talk about the baby than we were for the last three pregnancies. Still very much an “if”.
Any appointment updates? Haven’t called my doctor yet. But I’ll have an appointment around 8 weeks.
Any big milestones? None
Rants/Raves/Questions? None right now
@Chickaboom88 I’ve heard you’re even more fertile after an MC. Fx for a sticky baby.
