Upcoming appointments: Nothing until September, when I start the weekly appointments

How are you feeling: Ugh. My feet and hands are so swollen. My hips and back ache all the time. I'm finding new physical restrictions every day. Very much ready for this pregnancy to be over!

Rants / Raves: I was planning to start my mat leave on September 25, but talked to my midwife and she wrote me a note. I'm now taking 2 weeks of sick leave before my mat leave, so I only have 3 more weeks of work! Very much looking forward to not having to sit in a specific position for 8 hours a day. And now I get to look forward to either 3 weeks off of work before baby comes or being done with the pregnancy early, so feeling pretty good about the decision.

Questions:

GTKY: Do you have any tattoos? If not, are there any tattoos you want? No tattoos yet. I have some pretty bad scarring on one of my arms from a burn and I'd love to get it covered with a tattoo, but it would be expensive since I'd need someone to design something that would work with what's there, so haven't done it yet.

How are you feeling: 3rd tri exhaustion has kicked in for sure 

Rants / Raves: we made an offer on a house and it was accepted today!! A little nervous on timing though. If all goes well we get possession on 10/4, 1.5 weeks before baby is due 😬

GTKY: Do you have any tattoos? If not, are there any tattoos you want? I have a “tribal” butterfly with “faith hope love” on my shoulder blade that I got shortly after I turned 18 and on my right forearm the brand from my grandparents ranch with antlers

How are you feeling: *knocks on wood* feeling pretty good lately. Nausea, heartburn, and pelvic pain are now more manageable, thankfully. I am trying to take it easy with packing and not do too much. Letting myself rest has been a lovely and needed gift. 

Rants / Raves: Rant -- I got a flat tire today 😫😫😫 It just feels like one more thing on giant pile of life stress. Rave - we are going on vacation in about a week! I am looking forward to taking a break.

Questions: Anyone making a birth plan? I know my doula is going to start talking to me about it soon and I'm trying to get ideas about what I want during labor/delivery. What are your must haves??

GTKY: Do you have any tattoos? If not, are there any tattoos you want? I have four pretty simple black line tattoos. They are pretty small. My favorite is a lotus flower. It reminds me of the quote "no mud, no lotus" which always helps me get through when things feel tough. I always want more tattoos but I don't have the time or money for it right now 🤪

@sawasap yayyyy for early mat leave! It is always nice to have a little bit of time to chill and prepare before baby arrives. I and that with my first (but was also anxious from having all that time to wait too!!)

@AmMcc12 congrats on the house!! Hope all goes smoothly.  I am sure you all will figure out how to get through the moving process. Do what you can and ask for lots of help!!!

How are you feeling: getting uncomfortable

Rants / Raves: my rant and rave are pretty much the same. Baby is head down and has dropped but now her head is putting a lot of pressure on my pelvic area. I’m starting to get painful twinges down there.

GTKY: Do you have any tattoos? If not, are there any tattoos you want? I have a tattoo of a swallow on the inside of my right hip bone.

Upcoming appointments: Monday midwife appt

How are you feeling: uncomfortable. Not sleeping well. I think I have pelvic girdle pain. Also, today I had a headache and got so worried that I ended up getting a blood pressure monitor. I'm fine. 

Rants / Raves: I already have a lot of hand me down clothing for baby, but I'm annoyed bc I have so little purple (my favorite color) and I have such a hard time finding purple baby clothing that I like... why is it so hard? Whats wrong with purple? Lol. 

Questions:

GTKY: Do you have any tattoos? If not, are there any tattoos you want? I have an owl tattoo. One day I want to get it covered up or touched up because I'm not loving it anymore-- I still love the idea of it, but I'm not happy with how it turned out and also how it has faded. But first I want to get a tattoo of two hummingbirds, in memory of my grandmother and her best friend (my honorary great aunt).

@alpacamama2 I’m going back and forth in actually writing a birth plan or just going with the flow.
