Hi guy! I'm 12 weeks pregnant and I had my NT scan last Monday. The fluid behind the baby's neck was measuring at 6.5mm. Which is extremely high! Everything else during the scan was normal. My husband and I met with a genetic counselor Tuesday and did an NIPT test and a bunch of other genetic testing. I received a call from my counselor that there wasn't enough DNA in my blood for the test. I'm redoing the tests next Tuesday. I was also informed I have a small placenta, 36ccs the norm is 40-100ccs. I'm also a type 1 diabetic and my doctor did say that heart defects etc can effect the NT and placenta size. My husband and I were instructed to do a CVS but opted out for now. We want to retest, wait for the results and get an amnio. Also I have a schedule baseline ultrasound September 7th, which will hopefully give us some clarity. If anyone has any light to shed on my situation that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
