According to my LMP I should've been 11+ weeks when I went i did my u/s. However I'm measuring at 9+ weeks with a strong heartbeat. But my symptoms are consistent with 11+ weeks, because my frequent morning sickness got better. Dr. said everything looks good I may have ovulated later. But my lmp was may 6th. HELP!!

Hmmm... well, measuring babies so small isn't always exact, either. I think my my dating ultrasound said +/-5 days, so maybe you're only about a week behind what you thought, which might be a little more consistent with your symptoms. The waiting game of pregnancy is the hardest part, especially when you're unsure of the news. When do you see your provider again? Will you get another ultrasound soon to check the baby is measuring on track?

  • That would make me feel very worried too, but if your doctor is not worried, there's a good chance it's okay. Are your periods usually regular? Were you tracking ovulation? Sometimes ovulation is not on the "standard" 28 day cycle and so LMP is different than due date based on ovulation because you can ovulate earlier or later in your cycle, especially if you have a longer cycle.
  • No, my period isn't regular, wasn't tracking ovulation either. But what's confusing me is, my symptoms have cleared up incredibly. Which is consistent with where I'm supposed to be. Because when I thought I was 9 weeks, I had the worst morning sickness ever then it cleared up.
  • If your period isn't regular and your Dr isn't worried, I wouldn't worry. My due date is like a week behind my LMP because I ovulate late. And symptoms come and go throughout the first trimester so that's not the best way to track. My fatigue got better at 12 weeks then all of a sudden I started getting horrible fatigue again at 14 weeks and it's kept up since then when it "should" be getting better.
  • Yes I have another one scheduled mid September to see the progress.
