I’m 31 weeks pregnant, also type 2 diabetic. Can I take ricola to help soothe my throat? I know it’s safe for diabetics but I’ve seen so many mixed reviews for pregnancy.
I love the x-clear nose spray with Xylitol, which binds to bacteria and sweeps them away. Really helped my sore throat this past week. You can also get Xylitol PUR gum. I did that too. It’s just a sweetener. The only caveat is that the nose spray sometimes comes with grapefruit seed extract which you’ll want to use separately from medication because grapefruit notoriously interferes. But GSE is safe in pregnancy and great as a broad spectrum, botanical antibiotic.
My sinuses have also really benefited from Tea with lemon, turmeric powder, and black pepper. Great combination to reduce inflammation. Don’t skip the pepper!
