Re: Pregnancy Check In - week of 8/7
He is really positive about the twins - while I was initially super freaked out, his response was "a baby is a blessing" and has continued to be steady and happy. 😊

@farm_mama yes, I feel pretty crampy by the evening, it honestly reminds me of Braxton Hicks. They started at 12 weeks with my 4th.
i had to be induced with a small dose of pitocin at 38 weeks to help start my labor bc they wouldn’t let me go past 38. They were 6.8 and 6.10 lbs and i was able to have them naturally and without pain meds. I was also still able to nurse them both, i nursed and pumped until 9 mo and then they had the rest of my breastmilk stash until 14mo. (I thought i wouldn’t get to nurse bc there were two and my supply with my singletons tanked by 5/6 months with each of them)
if you ever have questions or just need to vent, share away.
I will add those to my list of items! I never used a stroller with my other kids, but I can see that it will be an important addition!

And I’m keeping up with the house and I feel like work is suffering as a result. I feel like DS is intuiting that there’s a baby coming and that’s why he’s getting clingy.
Since we were trying, he wasn’t really surprised. And I told him when we were still half asleep at 3 am. 😄 He’s doing his best to keep me from stressing about everything.

it’s illegal to fire over being pregnant so you should be protected by law, regardless!
it’ll come though! I’m sure you’re doing great!! Congrats on your appt today! I hope everything goes perfectly! Trying for a while can be so discouraging, but praying this is a sticky, healthy baby and the most boring, easy pregnancy ever!!! 🥰 so happy for your little fam, i can’t imagine the joy when that second line popped up!
@k_sims Thanks! Fortunately I have some kind of job security (my bosses love me and would riot if I got fired); I’m just trying to decide whether telling my supervisor now is a net positive or net negative.
@mamacricket512 i feel you on the smells. I can smell my dog in another room, my house is musty, the cars smell gross and oh my god I cant even think about opening the fridge in the morning 🤢
@fininevermore my direct supervisor knew I was pregnant around 6 weeks. Im a nurse though so there are some safety things related to why I told her. Still have not told any coworkers for now. 10 weeks today. With my last pregnancy I waited until closer to 20 weeks and it was equally as positive.
@lilac1022 i had a couple days of feeling so guilty about thinking that I didn’t do enough for my 5 and 1yo this summer. Mom guilt is real. But when I asked my 5yo about it he said his favorite days were the ones we stayed home and played with the water hose lol. Kids are awesome.

As far as aversions, I found that the burgers I used to love I'm completely not into anymore. Bananas too. And I still want salad, so I guess that might be a good thing? 🤷♀️
