EDD / Weeks + Days: 3/7 per my calculation, 3/9 per my MW's office

How are you feeling?: Better. The B6+Unisom is a game changer. Still soooo bloated though, and tired af.

Rants/Raves: School starts in 2 weeks and I am so not ready 😭😭😭

Questions: I'm starting to get scared about the transition from 2 to 3 - any advice from those of you who have already done it?

GTKY: What's your favorite place you've traveled to? We don't travel much, but I'd love to go back to Ireland some day. We went when we were young and soooo broke, and I'd love to be able to go again with enough money to actually see/do more.

How are you feeling?: still a total mix of good and bad days. Sometimes taking phenergan late at night helps with next day nausea, sometimes it doesn’t. I gag at literally the sight of anything: day old juice cup, pizza from last night, my kid’s lunchbox…literally can’t do any of it. 

Rants/Raves: Rave for a great first day of Kindergarten for my oldest ❤️ so hard dropping him off and not being with him all day.

Questions: 

GTKY: What's your favorite place you've traveled to? Our baby-moon with our first was to Maine and Boston in mid-October and it was absolutely beautiful. Pre-kids, my favorite travel destination was Thailand. I was there for only a few days in the middle of a trip to India but wish to go back one day for a longer stay.

How are you feeling?: This fatigue is killing me, and I'm crying at the drop of a hat. My husband is amazing at picking up the slack, but I am really struggling, trying to remember to take it a moment at a time.

Rants/Raves: Not sure if this is a rant or a rave. I don't know why I'm having such a hard time keeping it a secret this time. I've already told my parents, my MIL, my best friend and my Rebbetzein. oops. Last night we were at a BBQ, and I was talking to a bunch of friends while the kids were running around. An older guy in our community said, are you missing one, and my husband responded, no I see 4. The guy responded I couldn't remember if it was 4 or 5. I said it's 4 for now, only my husbands stare stopped me from adding at least until March.

GTKY: What's your favorite place you've traveled to? Israel, so much history. I studied aboard there for a year, and it's just such an amazing place.

@hedgepig my advice for 2-3 is actually the same as my advice for 1-2, be prepared for it to be hard, but know you will survive, and learn to pick your battles.

@night_nurse I can't believe that some people are already starting school! it's only August 2nd. We still have just under 4 weeks until our kids start. Kindergarten is such a big step. Good luck!!

@night_nurse I am with you on the random gagging. Everything smells bad to me. It doesn't help that this is on top of my sense of smell still being messed up from Covid almost a year ago 🙃 I hate it. Yay for a good first day for your kiddo though! My oldest will start kindergarten in 2 weeks and I am hoping it goes great.

@mrosek91 The fatigue is so real. I could barely function this morning for sure. Thanks for the 2 -> 3 advice - I think I can do that!

Upcoming Appointments: 15 August, 10 week appt

How are you feeling?: Alternating between I absolutely HAVE TO get one million and one things done, and having absolutely no energy at all On top of that the constant bloat, sore boobs, achey hips, and (thankfully) mild nausea.

Rants/Raves: DH has been an absolute champ, ready and willing to help with everything little thing, picking up cat box duty without complaint, taking over most of the garden work, and encouraging me to rest / sleep as much as my body wants. He even told the doc at the first appointment that I am the ultimate boss and decision maker of all things baby, and he defers to whatever I say (doc very much approved 😂). I appreciate and love this man so much!

Questions: Can't think of anything at the moment. I think it's just now clicking that this is real and brain is struggling to fully process.

GTKY: What's your favorite place you've traveled to? Hard to say. I've been a lot of places, mostly from moving around as a kid, bit can't say any one place was my favorite. I've got good memories of the painted desert in Oklahoma, and I'd like to go back to the outer banks of North Carolina some time. I REALLY want to see Ireland and Japan. Got a feeling one of those will be my favorite if I ever get to go.

Congratulations @hedgepig! I have no personal experience with twins, but I've heard after the first year or so they only get easier because they always have one another! How old are your other kids?

Rants/Raves: I feel so awful! I am just unbelievably exhausted, I can't eat, my stomach is always upset and I am having a hard time not being upset with myself about how I can't manage even the smallest tasks. I am spending lots of great time with my kids, but other than basic parenting I am not doing anything at all! I know that my kids and my body and the top priorities right now. I know that this is temporary. But I am really having a hard time with the lack of energy. I think it is really weighing on me that no one knows what's going on with me, so I just seem worthless.

Questions: I have so many logistics questions! Why does a family of six feel so much larger than five?!

GTKY: What's your favorite place you've traveled to? We haven't done a lot of extensive travel. I would love to, but that is in the future for us. Right now we spend those resources on building our farm/ranch. The older kids and I have discussed a big out of country trip together as high school graduation gifts. For now, the kids and I do a lot of smaller more local trips and really try to explore the history and offerings of our state and surrounding states. I love taking the kids on field trips and we do a lot of day/overnight trips in all directions.

Upcoming Appointments: first appt with my OB was yesterday, scheduled NIPT bloodwork for 8/16 and see the OB again 8/30

How are you feeling?: feeling pretty good but still exhausted. DS2 ran a fever overnight last night out of no where so that definitely did not help but he seems better this morning thankfully . 

Rants/Raves: rave for my OB. He is really trying to ease my nerves about this pregnancy. I wasn’t scheduled for another ultrasound at yesterdays appointment but he re-roomed me to do an in office one when I said I was still feeling nervous about this pregnancy due to my previous 9week loss. I wasn’t expecting an ultrasound so I had my boys with me and the awe on their faces was priceless.

GTKY: What's your favorite place you've traveled to? Italy but it’s been nearly 20 years so I think it’s time to go back.

How are you feeling?: Tired, bloated, sore boobs.

Rants/Raves: rave that my husband is being very compassionate and chipping in to pick up the slack right now.

EDD / Weeks + Days: the apps tell me EDD is 3/26 so like 6 weeks and some days  

FTM/STM/TTM+: this will be my second biological child and second total child right now - but at one point was a foster parent and had 3 toddlers for a few years

Team blue/pink/green: not sure but I will be buying one of those sneak peek things soon enough. I don’t know how people are chill enough for team green 😅

How are you feeling?: good! Just some sore boobs but nothing crazy 

Rants/Raves: nothing at the moment, still taking it all in / one day at a time.

GTKY: I love travel and I love seeing everyone’s answers to this question! Ireland is on my bucket list so it’s cool to see some people mention it as a fave. I have been blessed to travel to so many places that I don’t think I can pick my own favorite. But hubby and I right now are really into US National Parks and we have traveled to 16 of them together so far. Highlights would be Rocky Mountain National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park but they are all so beautiful in their own unique way

How are you feeling?: Less nauseous, still exhausted, boobs still hurt, feel kinda useless since I can’t concentrate on anything

Rants/Raves: DH and DS have been absolutely the best (even though DS has no idea) and I couldn’t ask for better pregnancy partners!

Went to Hawaii on my babymoon before #1. Would love to go back non-pregnant one day.
