Nora vs. Margaret

Any feedback on these 2 names? We keep flipping back and forth!
We don’t want Margaret to be nn’d Maggie so any other nn suggestions we’ll take!

I prefer Nora! Margaret just doesn't sound pretty to me and I think Maggie is hard to avoid as a nickname. Margot might work.

Agree with PP if you don’t like Maggie. Although, I did grow up with a friend who went by Margaret, not Maggie. But there’s no way to know if she will eventually prefer the nickname Maggie.

I think both names are beautiful!  However I'd lean towards Nora if you don't want Margaret to be called Maggie - nicknames can stick no matter who they come from (friends / family / daycare)!!

I had a student named Margaret who went by Meg instead of Maggie if that's something you'd like more.
