Pregnancy in catherter

My wife has to use catherter 4 times a day to pull out her urine from bladder as she can't empty her bladder on her own. The use of catherter causes frequent UTI.

I want to know if she can conceive with freuent UTI and if yes, will it affect her pregnancy?

Re: Pregnancy in catherter

  • Frequent UTIs might impact conception due to potential complications and discomfort. If she conceives, UTIs could pose risks during pregnancy. It's important for her to consult a fertility specialist to address her bladder issues, manage UTIs, and ensure a safe pregnancy journey.
  • I'm not a doctor but yes I think UTI will not be good for pregnancy. Have you asked her doctor about it? But in any case, I don't think this should be a hindrance if you both want a baby. I'm sure the doctor can recommend medications in case that happens.
