No morning sickness while breastfeeding

My first two pregnancies were brutal. I had hyperemesis and spent the entire time vomiting constantly- from the very beginning.
This time I have no symptoms and have heard from other moms that it is because I am breastfeeding.
Has anyone ever experienced this?
Does anyone understand why this might be?

I never dealt with extreme nausea, however a girlfriend of mine did and this time she’s nursing and her OB told her the same thing. Idk the why’s, however, maybe some comfort in knowing you’re not alone?
