I love being near the ocean while in a relatively low cost of living area. I love the fishing here. I’m recent years it’s started to become a more popular tourist destination and the tourists we seem to attract here are the worst 😂

How are you feeling? Huge but otherwise I can’t complain
Rants / Raves: We had our Disney Cruise last week! Getting there was awful, our flights were delayed so we didn’t get in until 1am the day our ship left but we were lucky they didn’t get canceled completely. For a few hours at the airport we were pretty sure we weren’t going to make it at all. But we did make it and the boys had a blast! My oldest said it was the best vacation. Unfortunately as is common with cruise ships both DH and I are now sick. I’m a tiny bit jealous of his ability to have NyQuil

GTKY: What are the best and worst things about the area you live in? I love that we are close to everything: mountains, ocean, lakes, forest, cities, etc… however we have winter and it really sucks bc I’m someone who hates being cold

I like being able to be in a different state within a few minutes and that we are in Texas. I don’t like the heat of the summer for most of the year lol

How are you feeling? I'm finally getting over the cold my sister gave me, so that has been nice. I feel pretty good other than getting winded doing practically anything lol.
Rants / Raves: Raves: I am decently organized for this time of the year. I took the boys school supply shopping and packed backpacks this weekend, I'm working on getting their uniforms ordered, doctor's appointments are all setup for those that need them (DS1 and DS3), and I've been attempting (and failing) to plan our weekly meal menus.
Rants: We are currently living in a rental. It's a nice rental, but we don't have enough room for the baby. We've been house hunting, but it's not going well at all. I've been trying to nest, but I literally have nowhere to nest. The only space available to put the baby currently is our walk-in closet. That makes feelings spike, so it's been an emotional mess so far.
Questions: I've never had a c-section, but if for some reason I do, how much worse is tacking on a tubal ligation with it? I asked my doctor about signing paperwork now in the event of an emergency c-section (when it would be appropriate), but she just laughed and said we'd talk about that later.
GTKY: What are the best and worst things about the area you live in? The best thing is we are closer to family here vs. where we lived a year ago. The worst thing is there is more crime (breaking into vehicles, storage units, etc.) so that has been an adjustment.
@varimama I'm glad you made it on your cruise, and I hope you feel better soon! Which Disney cruise was it?
@ohsmith I'm glad you're feeling better! A gummy bear sized fist is so tiny.

How are you feeling? Overall good but this week started with some pain that feels like my stomach may actually split open down the middle. 5th pregnancy and this is a new one for me!
Rants / Raves:
Questions: has anyone had that stomach splitting down the middle feeling from above?? Is it diastasis recti? I've never had either one before!
GTKY: What are the best and worst things about the area you live in? I love a lot of things about where we live including the change of seasons, it being pretty rural but close proximity to lots of things, near family, landscape... the worst part to me is that it's slowly getting a little too built up for my taste and I hope it keeps its small town feel!

How are you feeling?: I'm sick. Allergies have come on strong the past week. I always have sinus infections and general allergy issues at the beginning of my pregnancies. This is the first time it's happened this late and it sucks.
Rants / Raves: I'm at the point where I toss and turn every night. Getting a good nights sleep just isn't going to happen any time soon.
19 days until school starts...this family needs the structure and normalcy. Ok, maybe it's just me but still.
Questions:
GTKY: What are the best and worst things about the area you live in?: Honestly, there's not a lot that I like about where we live. The state government is, IMO, straight up scary, it's too damn hot and and we don't have any family less than 16 hours away. We would have moved back to Minnesota this summer but, due to regulatory mandates and restrictions (I work for a bank) I can only live and work in certain states so Minnesota is out as long as I'm with this company.
I will say that I enjoy the diversity of this area - the people and cultures range widely so my kiddos are exposed to a wide variety of people, cultures, religion, etc. which I love. It's a positive (to me) that we live in the most liberal part of the state. It's also nice to have everything we need within 10 minutes - the hospital, Target, Walmart, restaurants.
@ohsmith we’re all sick too and it stinks, I’m jealous of the NyQuil DH can have 😂 hope you’re all feeling better soon!
@makingbacon luckily babies don’t need much room at first but I get being stressed about the space and not being able to prep. Hope you find something soon! Our cruise was the Disney Wish 4 night in the Bahamas cruise! Loved the ship, definitely won’t be going back in July.
@UnwritteN12 we have longer until school but I’m looking forward to school routines too!

Better today than I have been. Just trying not to stress or overthink things.
Rants / Raves:
I think I ranted enough last week. My rave is I'm currently loving being on the work from home restriction. I thought it'd be harder for me to focus, but I actually think I'm being more productive now.

GTKY: What are the best and worst things about the area you live in?
I love that we basically never get snow. I loved snow as a kid, but HATE it as an adult. On the flip side, it gets SO HOT here. I know, I know. You just can't make me happy.
