Re: Weekly Check-In w/o 7/17

  • Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: Oct 24 / 26 +1

    FTM/STM/STM+: stm

    Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: girl

Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: as tall at 14 small paperclips stacked 🤔

Upcoming appointments: August 3 for GD testing fun! 🤪

How are you feeling: awful. I 100% do not recommend getting covid while pregnant. I cannot even tell what is a pregnancy symptom and what is a covid symptom. It is just a mess of misery.

Rants / Raves: well my rant is that my whole family got covid. My rave is that my daughter seems to have recovered from covid quickly - it only seemed to last 2 days for her.

    Questions:

GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? Rupaul's Drag Race. It is unexplainably the only show I want to watch while pregnant. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Season 5 is my favorite.

Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: Sept 30 29+6

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: girl! We finally found out this past week

Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: I forget, but she's big enough to stretch out and cause discomfort to my belly 😅

    Upcoming appointments: next week

How are you feeling: tired but also motivated to clean/reorganize

    Rants / Raves:

Questions: anyone else dealing with anxiety when it comes to their baby? I'm worried about every little thing it seems. If baby moves too much, if they move too little. Currently I'm worried that my water will break and I won't notice (my water didn't break until I was 9cm dilated with my first pregnancy so I don't really know how it feels). Any advice to help settle an over-thinking mind?

GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? I can't remember when I was able to binge a show last. It's been a while. Usually I'm only able to watch an episode or two every week or so. I did watch the Dark Crystal Resistance in January before we found out we were expecting. I'd put our first born to sleep then watch until his first feed of the night.

    Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: Oct 28 / 25+6

    FTM/STM/STM+:STM

    Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: girl

Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: cauliflower

Upcoming appointments: probably another physical therapy appt next week

How are you feeling: tired and big. I can't believe there are still months to go... kinda nervous bc I am still iron deficient and my midwife says I might need to get iron transfusions?? Waiting to hear from a referral...

Rants / Raves: My husband took a month out of work to finish half of the basement, so that he could move his office space to make room for the baby's room. As a teacher I'm also off all summer. I didn't realize he would literally be spending ALL day and almost all night working downstairs. It's like I never see him and it's weird.

    Questions:

GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? Schitt's Creek last year. Loved it.

@linh18 I'm definitely feeling worried about little things. I think what's different this time around is, as a FTM I stayed away more from reading negative stuff. This time around, I've heard more stories and read some of the TW posts I see online... I'm actually worried that I will start having contractions and won't notice! Last time, my water broke first. (Or, did I just not notice the contractions? Heh...) What happened with my water breaking was, I stood up from the couch and all of a sudden it felt like I wet my pants. When I went to the bathroom, it was definitely different and I felt some cramping. Within that hour, I started feeling strong contractions. And the fluid didn't really stop, it's a lot more fluid than just wetting your pants. But then, labor wasn't really super fast either after water breaking, if that helps to know. We were home for at least an hour and were able to drive to the hospital, and even there I labored for a while (hours, but that's a different story).
