Trying to Get Pregnant

IF Testing & Treatment w/o July 17

This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ballgame. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.

Diagnosis (if you've been):

Re: IF Testing & Treatment w/o July 17

  • Diagnosis (if you've been): RPL, blocked left tube.

Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): off the bench, meeting with the RE in a few weeks. We got the testing back on my last loss

Trisonomy 15, complete, incompatible with life. A boy. Given the genetic issues he never could have been my take home baby- I don’t know if that makes it better or worse
its not more or less likely to happen twice, so the “good” news is this doesn’t put us more at risk for future loss.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?):  WFAF

How are things going?: I live in Vermont, and we are moving to Boston area. It’s a cluster. I think we are going to have to delay the move due to the condition of the roads.

    Any questions?:

GTKY: Who is your favorite YouTuber or TikTok-er to watch? Smudge the mini cat and crew. It’s silly cat videos of one specific cat. Aren’t cat videos why the internet was invented?

  • Loading the player...
  • @charmedlifex3 Oh no! I hope you won’t be delayed too long!

Diagnosis (if you've been): RPL, DOR

    Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): medicated cycle

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): letrozole 5mg CD3-7, then progesterone 200mg at P+3

How are things going?: Going pretty well. I’ve been feeling really good (thank you low dose thyroid meds) and I have been very distracted from this whole baby making thing because we put in an application for a dog from our local shelter. I should hear this week! 🤞🏼

    Any questions?: NATM

GTKY: Who is your favorite YouTuber or TikTok-er to watch? Honestly not trying to be one of those people, but I don’t have TikTok and the only thing I watch on YouTube is free yoga videos and Tiny Desk. @charmedlifex3 I might need to check out this mini cat though!
  • Update: we didn’t get the dog 😭

Sorry posted in the wrong week. Please disregard as there is no way for me to delete this post. Thank you!

  • @maggiemadeit Oh no, I’m sorry you couldn’t get the dog :(

@sontk This is the current week’s thread, you were in the right place!

    Diagnosis (if you've been): Unexplained

    Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): Natural cycle

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Acupuncture pre-O, but no more until next cycle

How are things going?: This cycle is probably a wash, so I decided to not do more acupuncture until next cycle. I’m more  okay with the extra waiting than I thought I’d be though

    Any questions?: Nope

GTKY: Who is your favorite YouTuber or TikTok-er to watch?
I don’t do TikTok, but I do watch YouTube. My favorite is probably Not Just Bikes, but he doesn’t upload videos super often, so my favorite for regular uploads is City Nerd.
  • @charmedlifex3 oof I hope the roads don’t mess you guys up too bad!

@maggiemadeit do you do Yoga with Adriene on YouTube? When I used to do yoga a lot she was my go to I love her

@britters314 do you like acupuncture? My RE recommended it for when we start IVF and I keep forgetting to look more into it

    Diagnosis (if you've been): PCOS

    Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): natural cycle

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): waiting and waiting

How are things going?: we’re still just waiting on the results of my carrier screening panel, so I’m glad I have long natural cycles haha. I’m on CD25 and still no +OPK. I’m not temping though so I guess I could’ve missed a surge. My normal unmedicated cycles are around 35 days so I’m guessing it’ll be a long one. If my results come back before CD35 I’ll have my RE induce a period so we can just start this darn thing already. I’m not fertility related news, we’re going on vacation this week! Spending the week in Lake Placid, NY with my family which should be really fun.

    Any questions?: no!

GTKY: Who is your favorite YouTuber or TikTok-er to watch?
I watch a lot of food tik toks. I feel like my whole feed is just recipes anymore lol but we’ve found some really good stuff!
  • @charmedlifex3 I've heard about the crazy flooding in VT! Stay safe!

@maggiemadeit awww I'm sorry you you didn't get the dog! Was there another you could put and application in for?

    @optimisticoctopus enjoy your vacation!

Diagnosis (if you've been): wild and crazy immune system

    Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): benched

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): got all the testing taken care of this cycle. I just need to get the eye exam to confirm I can go on a couple immunosuppressants if necessary. First follow up should be on 8/1! Still waiting for the clinic to get back to me to confirm the date. I responded with the time I was available after hours so I'm not sure I'm truly on the books.

How are things going?: Work and life have been so busy and crazy for the last month+. Things are finally going to be calm for a bit. Except for the fact that we are now pretty serious about looking for a big lot to build a new house on.

Any questions?: Our sex life is pretty non-existent at the moment since life is busy. How do you get yourself back into the groove to TTC when FW happens? Being benched we're not even bothering HIO.

GTKY: Who is your favorite YouTuber or TikTok-er to watch? Currently I'm watching Charlotte Dobre on YouTube. I don't have TikTok either but she does reactions for a lot of TikTok videos so that satisfies my need to know what's going on in TikTok-land. Back when I did yoga for a full year I was doing Yoga with Adrienne videos! Such a calming voice.
