Hello mamas, we have an Emma Jane and a Caroline and are looking for a potential girl's name to join the team. I have loved hearing the sweet old ladies at the farmers market say "Oh what sweet Southern names" or "How British and darling," and I really do love the classic, not-that-trendy, great for women and for little girls standard we've set.
I *love* the name Charlotte, but that's off the table due to family reasons. I also really like Josephine, Genevieve, and Marion or Marianne, and maaaaybe Margaret. Elinor is also near the top for us, I think.
Similar names that are not on our list: Elizabeth, Victoria, Julia, Violet, Mary.
Can you think of any other ideas? We're having a hard time finding something we both love. (Secondary question - have you ever had to "settle" for a name? Like, you pick the first name and your partner picks the middle? Or you both softly agree on a name that you both like enough but don't love?)
