Hi,
First time starting one of these discussions, I've had a read through and get a lot from hearing other people's experiences and how they are finding the whole IVF process.
We were implanted with a grade A blastocyst two weeks ago, it all felt and looked so positive.
I got a positive (faint line) pregnancy test on Saturday and they took blood's at the clinic Monday (to confirm) our results...I was so shocked to get the phone call yesterday to say my hCG levels were 20 when they expect them to be around 50 at this stage.
They suspect its a failed implantation so I have to go back for blood work today to confirm this or if they increase again it could be a possible ectopic pregnancy.
Myself and my partner originally sought out IVF procedures as we have experienced a miscarriage at 8 weeks and then two ectopic pregnancies (the first I had to take methotrexate and the second miscarried on its own) I wonder if anyone else has experienced ectopic pregnancies after a miscarriage?
Can having a miscarriage cause you to have ectopic pregnancies?
I went for an early scan for my first pregnancy so I had seen it was in the womb and had a little heartbeat.
We turned to IVF to avoid an ectopic pregnancy, im terrified this coukd turn out to be one.
Basically I'm finding it all a little tough at the moment and hearing from people who have been through similar experiences or people who are currently going through IVF or anyone with some good news stories please hit me up with those!
I appreciate you taking the time to read all of this!
