First pregnancy, first appointment

Hi, I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant and am scheduled for my first drs. appointment at 9 weeks. Is this typically when you find out the gender? Or is it at the following appointment? I’ve been doing some research and it seems like there are all different answers. When did you find out the gender?

You will find out the gender long after baby is born.  If you want to find out the sex of your child (anatomy of a boy or girl is sex not gender) and you did not get a screening then you will find out-if baby cooperates - at the 20 week ultrasound. 

We found out the sex at birth.
