I am currently 15 weeks 3 days, first pregnancy. Last night I woke up around 3am because I felt very wet/soaked "down there." I thought I had either peed on myself or was sweating abnormal amounts in my crotch. I went to the bathroom and saw I was actually soaked in blood, and my bedsheets were also soaked with blood. I had no other symptoms - no pain, no cramping. I called my OB and he told me to go to the ER ASAP.
At the ER that did an ultrasound and diagnosed me with "posterior marginal placenta previa" and told me not to exercise (no running/biking/lifting, maybe not even walking), no traveling (I had a trip to Costa Rica planned for next month and a wedding cross country in 2 months planned), and I probably have to be on "bedrest" for "at least a week." If not, I could risk hemorrhaging, and "possibly even death" (to myself)....
I'm super bummed because I'm a work-out addict, and i feel like my soul is being crushed to pieces not being able to exercise at all for the next... 6 months!!!!!
Has anyone ever experienced placenta previa and what was your experience with it in terms of exercise/ activity level?
