  • What number are you trying for? 3, but first two are adopted/being adopted

    Month/Cycle? 7/7

    WTO/TWW? TWW (5DPO)

    Ages of other child(ren)? 4 and 5

Any thoughts about this cycle? Feeling pretty hopeful, timing was really good

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave? We just bought a new bookcase for our living room because our other ones were overflowing. But now that we have more space, H and I just want to go buy a bunch more books and we’ll have the same problem all over again lol.

Usually my oldest says a dancer (he takes dance classes) and my youngest says a racecar driver. Lately though they’ve been saying they want to be princes and/or kings.

    Month/Cycle? 2/2

    WTO/TWW? TWW

    Ages of other child(ren)? 2 and 5

Any thoughts about this cycle?  Eh? Not good, but not terrible. I don't mind if this cycle isn't it, as we're just coming into the sweet spot for due dates for us.

Any questions? I am getting ready to go on a roadtrip by myself with the kiddos. The 5 year old is pretty good in the car, but the 2 year old gets whiny after like an hour 😭 Any tips or tricks for surviving the long drive?

Haha, I don't know what he says now, but for a long time DS wanted to drive the septic pumping truck 🤣🤣🤣🤣

    WTO/TWW? WTO

    Ages of other child(ren)? 4, 2

Any thoughts about this cycle? Too soon to tell

Any questions? Any advice for balancing kid needs? My 2yo is going through a clingy stage (molars) and my 4yo is asking for more mama time. Felt like we had a good balance but now it’s shifted again.

Rant/Rave? It never got above 65 in my classroom today. I am so cold!

4y/o - construction worker. It’s been variations on this and driving a garbage truck since age 2.

2y/o - right now he wants to be a cat 🐈
  • @hedgepig we’ll be road-tripping again this summer, so I’ll be taking notes, too. Here are a few things that’ve worked for us before, though. Lots of stops, even if it’s just to run for 5 min at a rest stop. Lots of snacks, and mix in some fun ones like gummies. Putting my older in charge of handing them out for him to engage more with the younger. Water wows, small toys, and fidget poppers have helped, too.

Also, good luck! How long is the drive?
  • @hedgepig Does your 2 year old have the attention span for movies? We usually put a bunch of movies on the tablet and if it was just me with the kids I would absolutely have movies playing the entire time lol
  • @halfanewt Ugh, the attention battles are so hard. I try to give the kids "special mama time" each day - 10 minutes of concentrated attention from me to do whatever they want. It seems to help my 5 yo especially.

@halfanewt @britters314 It's 6.5 hours of drive time, so a lot more with all the stops. I'm going to take all.the.snacks, and lots of toys/books. I think we'll stop at a toy store along the way so they can each pick up something new and interesting. We have 1 tablet, so I will download some stuff on it, but since we only have the one, I want the 2 year old to be able to use it, so I'm bringing DS's tape player and head phones, and maybe a gameboy or ds that he can play? I also downloaded a bunch of kid oriented podcasts that we can listen to together.

What number are you trying for? 6

    Month/Cycle? 3/3

WTO/TWW? WTO. Although I had questionable opk followed by what felt like ovulation pain and spotting the day after.... So who knows.

    Ages of other child(ren)? 12,10,7,3,1

Any thoughts about this cycle? Temps are a mess. My 1 and 3 year old keep waking me up and completely random times through the night. And it's really impacting my temps.

    Any questions?

    Rant/Rave?

GTKY: What do your kids want to be when they grow up? And if they are too young to answer, do you have any thoughts on what they might choose? Teacher has been the most talked about. And veterinarian.

@britters314 I love buying books! I'd be so happy if I could get mor shelf space lol!

@hedgepig keep a stack of books handy and keep passing them back to them. I like the look and find books too. Or the pop it books are good for the little ones. Lots of fun snack are a great idea. I go to the dollar store and make a bucket or bag of new things for them to play with or do in the car; for really long trips.

@halfanewt I always struggle with balancing one on one time. The best way is for my husband to have the kids and I pick one of them to go with me on errand runs. It is simple but makes a big impact for them. But it takes a team effort with your partner to do it.
