So…should I be worried?

Ok, We’ve made it this far.  29 weeks.  Last ultrasound they tell me he has a big head!? Ya know I let it go…now two weeks later I’m panicking, over thinking.  Should I be worried about this? My first and only thought at the time was don’t tell me this I have to deliver this big headed child.  Now I’m worried about the health of my child.

    Did they say what percentile?

My husband and myself come from families with big headed people. Like 95%ile and up! All totally normal and healthy, just family traits. You wouldn't even be able to tell just from looking at us, probably. And plenty of successful vaginal births for those big headed babies! It can sound scary, but baby heads are already so small that even being "big" may just mean a centimeter or two larger than the average size.

That said, there are some cases where having a very very large head may be a sign that there's something else going on with baby. I hope they would have told you if the head size was in that range where they need to take a closer look at other health problems.

Yeah, I had worried over pretty much nothing.  They told me it’s a run in the family thing.  They said I would know if it were anything else already.  Thank you so much for responding.
