I’ll keep this as short as possible, my MIL wants to spend the night with us Christmas Eve, the night before Easter etc. I love her and I’m so happy she wants to be close to our kids but I want that special time with my family. We will always include her but I want those special first few hours and those magical moments to be a special time just for my husband and my kids. Is that selfish of me? I feel wrong for telling her no when she asks to spend the night. How do I tell her?
