Pronunciation opinions please!

I'm from Ireland, married to a Canadian and living in Canada. We have agreed on a traditional Irish name for our son. I want something easy to pronounce as my own name gets butchered daily, but would like to avoid anglicised spelling. 

Cormac is our top choice right now, my husband can say it just fine but I want to get stranger's opinions on how they would pronounce it. Thanks!

I don't think you could mess up Cormac badly at all. The only variation might be "Cor-Mack" vs "Cor-Mick"

I agree, most likely Core-mack when reading it, but I can see people saying core-mick in conversation
