Baby stomach messes up only at night

Hello,

I am a breastfeeding mother with a 1 month old baby. During the day time her stomach is fine, but almost every night for about an hour and a half. She’s either crying due to stomach pain or she is constantly pooping with it being streaks of poop at times. I have cut out dairy and eat bland foods for the most part. are there any moms that have experience this with their child that can provide me with some advice?

That sounds pretty normal to me. They're getting used to their new digestive system at that age, so feelings that we dismiss as the normal gurgles,  gas, growls, etc. are all new and uncomfortable. I feel like make around 3 or 4 months or got better? I have a 5 month old now and that stage is definitely in the past. Did you notice any difference when you changed your diet? If not, you're probably fine to go back to a regular diet. But of course, always consult your doctor if you're concerned

Yep sounds like an immature digestive tract! Babies struggle with gas in the early weeks… and sometimes get a witching hour at night. Mine is the same way 😅
