1st Trimester

Missed miscarriage

Is it normal to have a missed miscarriage with no bleeding or cramping? I’m 6weeks 5days and terrified of a missed miscarriage because I swear I have no pregnant symptoms. I go to
get my hcg levels checked today but probably wouldn’t feel better until the second draw 🤞🏼. Any advice helpful please!! Lol

Re: Missed miscarriage

  • A MMC usually occurs without your knowledge (meaning no cramping or bleeding).  A missed period IS a PG symptom.  Some people have a lot of symptoms, some do not.  Most PGs work out.  You need to calm down, because you have absolutely NO control over having a MC or a MMC at this point in your PG.  The only thing you can do at this point is to remember that you are PG TODAY.  You can love that baby as long as you have it, whether that is 6 weeks, 12 weeks, or to a live birth.  If you have MC, you'll know you loved your baby for as long as you had it.  And you will work your way through it, as so many of us have before you.

October 2015 - 1st MC.  7-8 weeks along. Suspected molar PG, but luckily just a MMC.

    June 2016 - 2nd MC: 4-5 weeks CP

    September 2016 - 3rd MC: 4-5 weeks CP

RE 1: ALL the testing - 'unexplained'  "Yinz can do IVF or try on your own"

    Feb 2017 - 4th MC: 6 weeks

RE 2: More tests. Still 'unexplained.'  Called fat for an entire hour-long appointment, cried a lot

    Feb 2019 - 5th MC: 6-7 weeks

    IUD - March 2019-March 2023

RE 3:  Repeat all the tests. Hoping to try IVF.

  • No pregnancy symptoms does NOT dictate the outcome of a pregnancy.  Be thankful you ate not puking your guts out - the main symptom that is the most prominent is the missed period.....BINGO! A pregnancy symptom.
  • When is your blood draw to confirm what is going on. Can you request to get one done sooner? I know I had a concern so my doc sent me for bloodwork yesterday which turn out positive, and I get to go in again tomorrow even though we have great numbers, just because I am worried.
