January 2024 Moms

Vbac after two cs?

Just had our confirmation of pregnancy appointment and although this is our third pregnancy it will never cease to just absolutely amaze hearing that little heartbeat inside of me!

Doctor was very supportive of wanting to attempt another vbac, first was c section due to frank breech and second another c section after fetal distress once induced 12 days late. Just wondering if anyone has any vbac success stories to share with third kiddo (or any time really!). This is our last chance, as they’ve said it’s no longer recommended after three c sections. End of day healthy mama and baby is obviously priority and I’m fully aware this could result in another c section, just looking for some personal experiences if any have to share! And maybe some hope to hold onto that I’ll have the vaginal birth I’ve so wanted.

Due date has been confirmed for January 1st. Already starting off going against our plans as we said we’d never have a holiday baby. Never say never! 🤪 sending all the love to those with upcoming appointments, I know how brutal the wait is and I had even had an ectopic pregnancy scare two weeks ago so had been confirmed IUP but it was too early to detect a fetal heartbeat - the waiting game is so, so hard!

Re: Vbac after two cs?

  • My doctor recommended I try Vbac after two previous c-sections, resulted in a ruptured uterus, my baby delivered via emergency c-section with no heartbeat. My baby was brought back and was in the nicu for a while. Him and I are both healthy and he is 7 months now.

  • So glad you’re both okay. Cannot even imagine how scary that was.
  • My first 2 babies were born naturally and they were easy, normal births. My 3rd and 4th were csections because of breech and placenta accreta. My 5th was a successful VBAC after 2 csections. I’m so grateful my dr let me try. I’m already praying for another VBAC with baby #6.
