IVF + Temping

Hi everyone — I’m new here :)

My husband and I have been TTC for 3.5 years and I'm currently undergoing my first round of IVF. I’ve done 6 rounds of clomid (all were unsuccessful) but found my Apple Watch temping useful to keep track of things (even though it was all meds + trigger shots!)

I’m 8DPT and noticed my temp has dropped below my cover line for two days running.

It’s really freaked me out as I expected my temps to stay high because I’m taking progesterone and now I’m thinking none of this has worked at all.

My temp is taken via my Apple Watch which is supposed to be really accurate for ovulation tracking but understood it to work in the same way as BBT.

Has anyone had the same experience and ended up with a BFP? I can’t see how to attach my charts but they look pretty erratic!

I know I’m reality temping probably isn’t the best thing right now and might be adding additional stress but I guess I’m looking for any glimmer of hope or positivity :( xxxx

Re: IVF + Temping

  • Hello! It's understandable to feel concerned about temperature changes during IVF. Remember, temping with devices like Apple Watch might differ from traditional BBT tracking. Fluctuations can happen due to various factors, including medications. Stay positive, as temping can't always accurately predict outcomes. Focus on your doctor's guidance and be patient. Some have seen positive results despite temp drops. Stay hopeful, and remember that stress reduction is crucial in this journey. Wishing you the best of luck!
