Severe Nausea, how to manage your older toddler??

I am currently 7 weeks with my second baby, and the nausea is starting to take over me and my family's life. I am a stay at home mom to an 18 month old who is so active, begs to go places and to the park- and I can barely get off the couch. I have no help during the day or options for childcare for her, and I feel beyond guilty that I can't be the mom she once had. How do you entertain a toddler for 8-10 hours a day, by yourself, with severe nausea? I'm at a loss and feeling very fearful of the rest of the year. My pregnancy with her, I was sick the entire 9 months.. 😓

  • I would advise for you to try every trick in the book! The nausea bracelets, the gum, the popsicles, the ob/gym’s prescription for nausea…to get that nausea out of the way. It’s not exactly the only way to go through pregnancy since there are options (I hope one or more can help!). Your baby girl deserves your time and attention, especially since the new one will take most of it upon his/her arrival.
I’ve been where you are at and a combination of nausea bracelets (if you’ve never heard of them think of them as a type of pressure point thing on the wrists), nausea ginger gum, and doctor’s medication to help me get through the day with my then infant. I hope it helps!
