Formula fed babies

My baby is almost 7 weeks old and all of a sudden he wants to eat every 1 1/2 to 2 hours he usually would go 3 hours but he’s just been so fussy he’ll wake up screaming and I can’t soothe him any other way besides feeding him. He eats 4oz every feed if I give him any more than that he will immediately spit it up or does not finish it. He usually doesn’t cry this much he isn’t running a fever and is having plenty of wet and poop diapers. Just a growth spurt maybe? It’s just been rough with all the crying

Could be a growth spurt (usually around 6 weeks there is one, give or take) and also around 6 weeks is the peak of PURPLE crying/witching hour. Can you try feeding less but more frequent? Could he be having tummy discomfort from gas? You could try gas drops/gripe water, or tummy rubs/bicycle legs. Is he getting enough naps and wake times aren’t too long?

Theres so many possibilities. I don’t have good advice about the feeding because I’ve never FF this young, so I’m not sure what you do/if FF babies cluster feed like they do at the breast. Whatever it is, I hope it’s short lived for you.
