Anyone Know Any Good Antiacids for Acid Reflux?

I am on the famotide but its not working at all! It sucks cause I love milk and as soon as I get milk it just kills me. It was so bad tonight that I just threw up all the milk from my cereal. It sucks! I cannot even drink liquids without it coming up in my mouth, Its like I have to keep spitting it out. Anyone know of something safe and good to take?

@renaesfirstbirth If you're already on famotadine, you should talk to your doctor about what other options you have that are safe for both you and pregnancy.  It may suck, but avoiding things that cause reflux is probably the lifestyle you have to live with.  Trust me, I was on the maximum xantac dose per day before they switched me to famotadine, and even having an endoscopy, they don't know why I have such awful reflux.  I sleep on a slanted bed, I don't eat spicy foods, I don't eat large meals, I don't eat HOURs before bed, etc.  And I still sometimes get reflux, but it's much more manageable with lifestyle changes.

Chronic GERD sufferer here. I’m on protonix daily for life but had to go off for pregnancy. Luckily I didn’t have bad symptoms until third tri and was able to use Pepcid with success. Next step would have been Prilosec. Call your OB and see if they will ok any sort of PPI (like Prilosec) or sometimes you can take Pepcid twice daily.

Pepcid is the only thing that works for me. Tums doesn’t do the trick anymore. It’s so bad for me. Keeps me up all night long most nights.
