Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO w/o Apr 24

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

Re: WTO w/o Apr 24

  • Month/Cycle: 14/9 AL

    CD: 10

WAYDTGKU: BBT, OPK, CM, HIO EOD, so many vitamins…

R/R: My mom asked me a while ago to go with her on a trip this next weekend. My cycles have aligned just right so I’ll be gone during part of my FW, without DH. We are actually coming up with a game plan to get in some good timing.

    CS/Q: just some dots!

I’ve been trying to conceive for over 2.5 years. I’ve lost both of the only 2 pregnancies I’ve had. I reached out and posted on here today and you were completely rude to me!! Shame on you Britters314!! YOU do not make this a safe place to share!!! You have no idea what I have been through these last 2 years and how you came off has really upset me! Think before you type!!
  • @nita888 Do you really think you can turn this community that I have been a part of for months against me? Maybe you should READ before you type. We have a clearly marked thread pinned at the top of this board labeled “Newbies, read this first!” which tells you how this board works and how you can be a part of it.

And by the way, seeing your post asking for success stories probably upset most of the women here since we haven’t had success yet. Also, I have been trying to conceive for almost 8 years so don’t try to play the suffering Olympics with me.
  • I’ve been trying for 2.5 years and just lost my father whom I was full time taking care of all by myself… again you have no idea what I have been through. You clearly need some help if you feel bullying people online makes you feel better. And as for someone who has been trying for 8 years you’d think you’d have a little empathy for those who are also currently struggling to conceive. Just because I haven’t been struggling as long as you doesn’t mean I don’t get to share my experiences or feel anything. I would never wish for what I have gone through or what you have gone through on anyone.
  • So… here’s my issue. I’ve kept quiet, mainly because I hate arguing with people on here. But now you came onto another thread that I’m a part of. I can guarantee that @britters314 is not the only one to report your post. You didn’t directly ask, but you asked in a roundabout way. That is also against TOU. I reported your post, and I can promise many others have also.

You are correct. We don’t know your story. If you look at the threads posted on here, the same person posts all of them for the week. Who ever gets to it first does it. We all post as we have time to.  One thread specifically would be for you. There’s a newbie thread. Introduce yourself. Get to know us and we will get to know you.

View this as if you walked into a room. Would you just walk up to someone random and ask them what you just asked us? No context, just “hey, have you ever had this experience?”
  • @ejoseph16 FX you can get some good timing and go enjoy the trip!

    Month/Cycle: 2/2 (1 AL)

CD: 16, pretty sure today is O day

WAYDTGKU:  sex, WTO green tea, start BBT on CD10, CM, Ovasitol for PCOS, synthroid, baby aspirin, a handful of other supplements

R/R:  Just going through some processing this week ❤️

CS/Q:  Remind me about discarding temps — I discarded two on mornings when I had either woken up 1h+ later or woken up hot due to not switching the AC on — this is appropriate right?  Definitely haven’t O’d yet but hoping for a temp jump tomorrow 🤞

  • @virginiaham You definitely can discard temps for those reasons. For the morning you temped an hour late, FF will take that into account and usually puts an open circle so you know that temp might be off, so I personally wouldn’t discard that one yet, but up to you.
  • @virginiaham yes, I’m with britters. I would keep the one where you temped an hour late.
  • Thanks ladies!  I put it back in esp since it’s not crazy high, also temp went down this morning and not up—maybe O today since I tend to get the dip on O day.  FX this hasn’t just been a fakeout FW.

  • Month/Cycle: 10/ 6

CD: 1! 🎉🙌 (today is one month exactly from my d and c, so it’s good news it’s back!)

WAYDTGKU: I’ll start femara on CD 3, charting, all the things. Timing is a little rough because my husband is only home Friday - Sunday but I think we should be able to make it work.

R/R:  we put an offer in on a house built in 1780- SO much came back on the inspection. It’s probably worth doing still but 🥴 we’ll know by the end of the week if the seller accepts our cash back to do the repairs.

CS/Q is there any way to note fertility meds in FF?

  • @charmedlifex3 Aw yes for CD1!!

When you scroll down on the daily log there is a drop down that has several of the fertility meds—I had used it with femara/trigger in the past but can’t remember if I had to add it (maybe through where it says “edit favorites”).

  • @charmedlifex3 I thought our house built in 1950 was old lol. Do you get any benefits from it being a historic house or anything? Where we are, if a house is considered historic you don’t have to pay any property taxes to help offset the higher maintenance costs
  • @charmedlifex3 Yay for CD1 and good things ahead 🎉
  • Thanks! I think I got it! @ejoseph16 looks like we are in the same boat trying to get the timing to work with the rest of life.
@virginiaham I always delete temps then put them back to see what it does 😂

  • @charmedlifex3 hooray for cd1! 👏 my weekend trip was cancelled, so hooray for not having crazy FW timing!
  • CD18, temp is still low, looks like a FFW (fake fertile window).  I’ll just be over here drinking my WTO green tea again like

If so, I don't think I needed to discard any temps after all 😅
