Best Hospital for Twins

Hi, my wife and I have recently found out we are expecting twins. We have know we were expecting for a few weeks now and she is about 8 weeks along. Previous to getting the news of twins we had been very interested in the most natural birth we could possibly have, even considering a home birth. Now that we know we are having twins it seems so much more complicated and we are looking for the best place in the Midwest to birth them. That said I guess we are still looking for a more natural approach where c section isn't the mandatory option. So if anyone has given birth to multiples in the Midwest (KC metro) and had a great experience or a not great experience we would appreciate an wisdom. Also worth mentioning, this is our first pregnancy, we know that we have two amniotic sacs and two babies. It was unclear from the ultrasound how many placentas. Again, wisdom and stories appreciated.

Re: Best Hospital for Twins

  • Hi Glenn,
Congratulations on the twins! For a natural birth in the KC metro area, you might consider Overland Park Regional Medical Center or Saint Luke's Hospital , which offer options for twin deliveries and have experienced teams for various birth plans.
