Hey Jordan! There’s a lot to be excited about between now and giving birth, so try not to panic about that part yet. I think we’re all scared of one thing or another. For me, it helps me to read up on every possible scenario and just be knowledgeable about what’s going on. Our baby was completely unexpected (PCOS) but so very wanted, so we’re both very nervous.
  • My user name is oh_mann_baby_bump2023 but apparently it’s not updating on the feed yet.
  • Congrats! My hubby and I are both in real estate as well 😊
  • I’m with you on the calmness. 36 also, and I was just telling someone that had I been 10 years younger, I think I would be very anxious and panicking.  It’s kind of a nice feeling

happy to hear you’re feeling better, dizziness is not fun!
  • Due date?

     Estimating mid to end December

    How did you find out?

Had one last test burning a hole in my bathroom and decided to take it on a whim.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):

two older upper elementary children. Both myself and husband work full time. Typically I love to crochet but haven’t found the time to get into it again.

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)?

Mild symptoms. Wave of nausea will pass by but other than that I’ve been feeling good. A little stressed. I thought I had more TTC time left! Didn’t expect to get pregnant so fast
  • Hi!! Also 28, a SAHM homeschooler and also due 12/31!!
  • @travistori i am too a 28 yr old mom! I stay at home and my son is 17 months but I will be homeschooling him. I’m also due 12/31!! :)
  • Hi! I'm Tracy and I'm 34, this is my first.

    Due on December 20th!

I just got my IUD out in February, and we decided we wouldn't actively try for about 6 months, but if it happened, we'd be happy - well, one period happened and then I was late - so it was a surprise to see the positive test, but a welcome one.

About me- I'm originally from California, but moved to the Czech Republic in 2020, met my Irish partner in Prague in March, and moved to Ireland last October. A lot has happened in a year! We live in Cork, Ireland, so I'm still getting used to how things are done here and a little nervous because while we have his family (who are great) nearby, I only have a small group of friends. I work as a ceramic artist/teacher and a coach, so I am self-employed.

Feelings - The fatigue and nausea comes and goes. Usually the nausea isn't too bad, just annoying, but this week the fatigue really hit hard and I just woke up from a 3 hour nap. Emotionally, I'm excited, but we really haven't told anyone yet so this still doesn't feel real! I'm definitely a little wary since I won't get maternity benefits since I'm self employed and my partner works in hospitality, so feeling nervous about all the changes to come and hoping we can make it work. Also a little nervous about the Irish medical system, it's a lot more "hands off" than in the U.S. But these things will work out! Deep breaths :)
  • Introduce yourself: Hi I'm Taylor I'm 19 years old
    Due date?Dec 2
How did you find out? Was 5 days late on my menstrale cycle so I went and bought a test and it came back positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):I am 19 years old I'm a soon to be wife and soon to be mom, I have a 1 year old tabby cat named nova and a chihuahua named scooby. I am curently going to school, and I have a beautiful stepdaughter...
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally) I'm honestly feeling amazing right now, super super excited to have my first child. I was pregnant when I was 18 and sadly has a miscarriage, tgen i struggled for 6 months to get pregnant and finally i got pregnant...
  • Hi I’m Darcy! I am 31 and pregnant with my 3rd. I have had two miscarriages in the past so still a bit nervous about this one.

    I am due December 6th

I was exhausted and we had been trying for a while. After two days of a missed period I decided to go ahead and test.

I have been married for 10 years. We have a 6 year old boy and 2 year old girl. I think it’s strange that people classify the pets with the children- haha- but we have two dogs, 16 chickens, and a cow. I am primarily a stay at home mom, but I also teach part time online at a private school. I like to read and occasionally do puzzles.

I have been extremely sleepy, sensitive to smells, and a bit snappy on some days.
  • Hi there @lexieb98. Wishing the best for all the ladies and you with your pregnancy. Sadly, I was also told I would be a high risk pregnancy (due to RA, endometriosis, and hypothyroidism) and am so nervous and excited for my 8 week appointment but they weren’t able to get a sooner date. Sending prayers and good vibes to all.

Hello everyone I'm Shelby I am 31 yrs old and this is my first pregnancy

Due date? 12/23 - ironically I am a December baby and I told my husband I didn't want a Dec baby because it sucks to have your birthday tied to the holidays. Good news is I know exactly how to keep the days separate. Bad news is dad's Christmas bonus is going to me and the baby lol.

How did you find out? Good old fashioned pee stick I honestly assumed my period was late again.

Tell us about yourself: My husband and I married in March 2021 and have been enjoying our married life with our dogs and cat. We officially decided to start trying in August of last year and here we are.

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Emotionally wise I'm ecstatic and nervous for a miscarriage due to my mom having rough pregnancies. Symptom wise I have never been more tired in my life I have to take a nap daily and I hate how my mouth tastes and have to keep brushing my teeth all day.
  • @jenfam3 My first is a Christmas baby and I so desperately didn't want another december baby but here I am again too LOL. I feel your pain.

  • Hi I’m Maddie!
I am due December 9th! This is my 4th child and ironically enough I found out I was pregnant on April fools! Lol!
I have a 5 year old, 3 year old and 1 year old. We live in Arizona.

Like with all my pregnancies, first trimester takes the life out of me. Puked while I was mid typing this too. Yay!
So excited to have other mamas due around the same time as me to chat with!
  • @jenfam3 I’m curious about what you do to keep the holidays separate from your bday to make sure our holiday babies still feel like they get their own special day in December.

@doodledot My family sucked at it I legit have had birthday presents under the Christmas tree lol. But my husband is amazing he makes sure to keep the holiday at bay my keeping Christmas at bay and celebrating my birthday separately and making sure I have a separate gift for each holiday and two separate family get togethers.
  • @brandosmom92

When is your 8 week appointment? I am doing my second dating scan at 7w6d. I have hEDS and PCOS so they both come with miscarriage risk although PCOS causes it earlier on and EDS causes it later on in pregnancy, so it's just going to be stressful the whole time. It's so reassuring seeing that first ultrasound with the little heartbeat.
  • @jenfam3 that’s really awesome that your husband puts in the effort to make your bday separate and special during the holidays! I’ll make sure I do the same w my little ones 🥰
  • @jenfam3
I'm due Dec 23rd as well! I'm so annoyed. The last thing we wanted was a Christmas baby, but with PCOS, that positive was a complete surprise and very welcome regardless of the due date.
  • Introduce yourself: Hi! I’m Amy. I’m 36 and this is my first pregnancy.

Introduce yourself: Hi I am Michelle. I am 34, this is my first pregnancy.

Due date? Based on my last cycle my due date is 12/26 but I predict it will be later then that

How did you find out? Period was late by a day, usually I am very on schedule, took a pregnancy test and it was very faint. Followed up with 2 consecutive days of at home pregnancy tests that came back clear postives.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): My husband and I have been married for 5 years. No human children but we have a 7 year old adorable shih tzu baby. We both like travelling and playing videogame. All the nerdy things.

How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Nervous and excited. We are waiting till the end of May to tell people so I am finding it hard to keep it in. Been having some stomach issues, and always hungry.
  • congratulations! I did 2 weeks in Thailand right after I found out I was expecting and it was fine … only a couple of sticky moments! Be sure to stock up on morning sickness candies, Miralax, and colace - lifesavers. And don’t forget to walk around on the flight to avoid DVT.
