Re: Weekly Check-In w/o 3/27

  • Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: Oct 28 / 9w+2

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

    Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: finding out

Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: cherry

    Upcoming appointments: Wednesday first appt!

How are you feeling: ugh. Morning sickness almost constantly and literally throwing up about every other day. According to Google it could be worse, idk how people survive throwing up more than once a day... also lots of fatigue.

Rants / Raves: I'm having trouble finding food and drinks that I want to eat. Forcing myself to sip water. Even the thought of ginger nauseates me...

    Questions:

GTKY: What is your favorite game or sport to watch and play? I'm really not a sports fan. I don't even remember the last sports game I watched... but I like to play card games and board games. Nothing crazy, but pre-Covid I used to play at my church's weekly Cribbage nights... I like playing video games sometimes but I'm not really that good.

  • Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: October 1 / 13+1

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: We will find out

Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: a post-it note

Upcoming appointments: Nothing until May (unless anything shows up in my 1st trimester screen or my GD test)

How are you feeling: Feeling pretty crappy today, just tired and the nausea seems to have come back?? I'm also getting a ton of muscle aches around my hips and pelvis, it feels like it did in my third trimester last time around. I may look into pre-natal physio to see if that helps.

Rants / Raves: This was not a relaxing weekend. My in laws were in town and as much as I like them, it's just not relaxing having them around. So I feel not at all refreshed for the week.

    Questions:

GTKY: What is your favorite game or sport to watch and play? We're a big sports watching house. I think my favourite is Canadian football, even though we spend a lot more time watching hockey (but that's because it's 82 games vs 18). I've never been good at sports so I don't play anything, but we do love board games. Really into The Blockbuster Game right now, which is our newest one.
  • Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: Oct 25 / almost 10 weeks

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

    Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: TBD

Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: a strawberry

Upcoming appointments: this Wednesday for all the blood test stuff

How are you feeling: nauseated, gagging constantly, super tired, EMOTIONAL (there have been tears, yall).

Rants / Raves: This month has just been a lot with all the activities, responsibilities, and curveballs.  Please let April be slower and gentler. 🙏

    Questions: none

GTKY: What is your favorite game or sport to watch and play?
I used to be big into watching sports (football, basketball, hockey) but I have completely lost track of all sports over the last few years. It just seems like a lot of effort. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Sports I like to do: run, swim, yoga, hike. I don't do enough of any of them tho, honestly. Pregnancy exhaustion FTW!
  • Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: 10/21, 10 weeks 3 days

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM+ (third baby)

    Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: Finding out soon!

Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: Strawberry

Upcoming appointments: Tomorrow is my Qnatal test!! Very excited to find out the gender once we get those results. Then Monday we have another ultrasound, hoping to see a beautiful little 11 weeker.

How are you feeling: Tired, nauseous, headaches, emotional

Rants / Raves: Too tired, lol

    Questions: Not at the moment

GTKY: What is your favorite game or sport to watch and play? I used to run track and I do miss those days. Baseball is probably my favorite sport to attend games and watch, especially my boys’ games.

  • Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: September 30 13+4

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: we will find out

Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: a tube of lipstick

    Upcoming appointments: April 13

How are you feeling: better, less nauseous and probably would have more energy if my DS was sleeping better

Rants / Raves: another cold for DS, this time DH has it too. Thankfully i have more energy to deal with a dad baby and sleepless nights, but still not fun. Seems like he gets one every month!

Questions: best cold remedies for little ones?

GTKY: What is your favorite game or sport to watch and play? I played basketball all through middle school and high school and loved it so much! Sadly no time/opportunity for a rec league after that. DH and I love board games, especially Wingspan. We've spent too much on board games last year so need to decrease the budget this year 😅
  • @linh18 I'm sorry your son is sick! Here no remedies but we do a sinus rinse as often as we would blow his nose! It's really the only thing to do! I don't know if you're familiar with the 10 ml syringe method.  We do it 1-2 a day even when he's not sick for prevention.
  • Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: 10/16; 11+2

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

    Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: genetic testing tomorrow!

Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: Lime

Upcoming appointments: bloodwork tomorrow and OB 4/10

How are you feeling: really good which scares me

Rants / Raves: I have a week long work trip next week that I’m so so about  it will be nice to have some me time (hotel by myself) but going to miss home

    Questions:

GTKY: What is your favorite game or sport to watch and play? I used to play volleyball and still would if my ankle wasn’t shit from a few old injuries. I love watching volleyball and college football.

    Me: 26     DH: 25
    DS1 -- 9/30/2016

  • Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: due date is 10/2 and I’m 13w+3days

    FTM/STM/STM+: I guess STM now!

Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: we’ll find out for sure in about a week, did the NIPT blood test this morning. I don’t think our ultrasound tech was supposed to tell us, but after my husband asked her a few times, she guessed boy and said she’s about 90% sure.

Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: a lemon!

Upcoming appointments: OB 4/14 and anatomy scan will be May 12th

How are you feeling: honestly aside from fatigue, I’ve had no symptoms this whole pregnancy. This is my first child so I didn’t know what to expect and I feel lucky to have been able to avoid all the morning sickness and other symptoms I hear about.

Rants / Raves: because of my lack of symptoms I find it hard to go weeks without seeing/hearing the baby & heartbeat. It’s like, sure, everything should be fine, but how do I know baby is all good and growing in there if I don’t feel any different day to do? I feel a huge sense of relief after appointments like today, when they showed me baby moving around all cute in there and trying to touch “his” toes. But then as weeks go by and I approach the next appointment I get this sense of nervousness again. I am hoping once I get a little further along and can actually feel the baby move then this won’t be a constant worry for me anymore.

    Questions: none right now

GTKY: What is your favorite game or sport to watch and play? Not into sports much but I’m slightly embarrassed to say that I am still a hardcore candy crush player lol

  • @linds091622 That was me with my first pregnancy! I had barely any symptoms and found it so stressful. It's totally normal to feel like that. I ended up borrowing a doppler from a friend and that helped. And once he got big enough to move around, I felt better. Until then, take deep breaths and remember that feeling nothing is completely normal at this point.
  • Uugghh…. I am so frustrated! I got the Qnatal blood test earlier this week, and today got a notification that my results were ready. I knew that was too quick, and sure enough, my sample got ruined on accident by the lab. So today I had to go in for a redraw. It’s obviously not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but just so frustrating when you’re excited about getting results, and trying to figure out gender reveal things (I mailed some gender reveal cake pops to my parents, thinking they would arrive just in time… hoping they last now 🤣). I’m excited to find out the gender, but also hoping to get good results from the other screenings included, as well, to just have some peace of mind about all of that.
  • Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: Just changed to October 6 / 12w6d

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: We'll find out but everything points to a girl at this point!

Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: Prune /scoop of ice cream

    Upcoming appointments: Cerclage next Thursday April 6 // April 10 - Pediatric Hematologist // April 20 - OB/MFM // April 27 - cervical lenght scan

How are you feeling: I think I'm finally out of the 1st trimester fog. A bit relieved emotionally after seeing baby thriving at our NT scan today. But I did throw up after our 10 year anniversary date last night 😅

Rants / Raves: We went out for a movie and a dinner last night just my fiancé and I for our 10 year anniversary! We went to a 4:45 pm movie so we didn't fall asleep 😅

    Questions: NATM

GTKY: What is your favorite game or sport to watch and play? Volleyball too @AmMcc12 ! We also watch a good amount of NBA basketball.
  • Reading through others' responses, realizing that I guess I do play some sports and games. @alpacamama2 I also like hiking and yoga. @AmMcc12 I also played volleyball in high school, loved it, but now my knees are in awful shape! @linds091622 I love Candy Crush! I actually got a new phone and need to re-download it, thanks for the reminder.

@mimser Happy Anniversary! Which movie did you see?
  • @lindz42 We watched a movie called Brother. It's a Canadian drama movie about 2 brothers growing up in a Toronto suburb. We really enjoyed it!
