Empty ultrasound

Hi, I’m currently having the most worst time of my life. Ok so I took a test march 9th and got a very strong positive. Test line was much darker than the control. Prior to that I spotted March 4 only. The last period I remember was January 28 which puts me at 8 weeks. My fiancé says I had a period around January 10 but I don’t recall at all. So I go in to get an ultrasound March 13th nothing absolutely nothing. So tech scheduled me to come back on the 23rd. I went back and had another ultrasound and again nothing. I’m not in pain my back hurts a bit but that’s about it. But I’m pretty sure I either way with either date we should have seen some something the least I should be would be 7 weeks. Has anyone had this happen before?

Just because your period was in January doesn’t necessarily mean you’re as far along as you think. At this point you have no clue when you ovulated. You may have gone weeks with no ovulation and just recently ovulated before your positive. If you’re not tracking your ovulation with temps you don’t know when you ovulated for sure. Even ovulation strips can give you a false positive. Which is why you need to confirm with temps. Anyways, I wouldn’t rush into assuming baby isn’t developing. It could be too early. Only time will tell. I know waiting is hard but it’s all you can do.

Thank you!! I normally find out at about 2-3 weeks so I’m praying it’s just really early and yessss the waiting is horrific
