Pregnancy test results

Hi ☺️ just after some help please as bit confused. I had a short period 28th Feb and started spotting Monday this week, 2x home test day I’m 2-3 weeks pregnant (test says drs will date it as actually 4-5 weeks).
My periods due next week around 30th.
Little confused how I’m already that far along if my period was only around 3 weeks ago. Drs won’t see me until I’ve officially missed my period.
