Late Period While Breast Pumping

Hello everyone,

I am 3 months pp. I have had 1 regular menstrual cycle last month since giving birth. My period is now 4 days late. I am exclusively breast pumping, but not really breastfeeding. I occasionally breastfeed. Could breast pumping make my period late or cause irregular cycles? I surely hope I am not pregnant..

Breastfeeding can make periods irregular. That does not mean that you cannot still get pregnant, so if you are not wanting another child right now you do need to use birth control.
