2nd Trimester

Baby moves

I am 19 weeks pregnant and I still do not feel baby moves or kicks. Should I be concerned?

Re: Baby moves

  • No. Often after the 20 week scan when you see babe moving and team the feeling with the visual you are more intune with it. After the 20 week mark I usually feel baby soo much more. If it's your first especially the feeling is foreign and subtle at this point. You may also have a mellow babe in there.

  • It's OK.  Baby still has plenty of room and you may not feel movement yet.  After 20 weeks you should really start feeling it.
  • I didn't really feel anything until about 22ish weeks, but I also have an anterior placenta so that cushions kicks. It also did NOT feel like flutters to me at all, so I thought I was just digesting weird for a while when it was actually baby 😂 some people just don't feel movement until later and that's ok, but if you're really worried about it mention it to your ob.
  • Same!!!  I’m 19 weeks and still don’t feel anything and it’s making me nervous! My scan is in a few days. Glad I’m not alone
  • Same! I’m 19 weeks and still not really feeling anything. I’m glad that my scan is coming up next week and it’s really nice to know that I’m not alone in this feeling.
  • I an pregnant with my first baby. I noticed very few movements until 21 weeks (I am 22 weeks tomorrow). They aren't super frequent yet, but most days I do feel him move at some point, usually after a nice meal.
  • Nothing to worry about!  :) Your placenta may be anterior and baby is still so small!
