Safe stretch mark oils?

Hi all! So this is my second pregnancy and I'm currently looking for safe stretch mark oils, with my first my dr recommended bio oil but I'm having trouble finding it in my town this go around. So I was wondering what oils are you guys using? I was going to try burts bees mama bee body oil but I've heard mixed reviews on that one as well as a few others I was going to try. Any suggestions?
  Thanks! ✌🏻

Re: Safe stretch mark oils?

  • None! Stretch marks are hereditary and start from the inside l.  Hydration, hydration, hydration is what works best.

  • I understand nothing can prevent stretch marks, but still looking for something safe to keep skin moisturized so I don't have an itchy belly 😅
  • I used the Burt’s bee mama balm. I think Honest makes one too
  • Embrace them. They will happen to the majority by the time childbearing years are over. I have them and love them. It reminds me of what really matters, making their lives thrive. Not my body look amazing. Healthy is good and stretch marks are not unhealthy so I'll take them.
  • I looked into using Bio Oil but i was surprised that it contains retinyl.
I’ve been alternating Weleda stretch mark oil and Earth Mama belly butter.  I’m not sure either will actually prevent stretch marks but the massage feels nice.  Ps the belly butter smells like creamsicle. Lol

Agree with others on the importance of hydration- drinking water is good for so many things! I also used a modified version of Mama Natural’s recipe for belly butter (https://www.mamanatural.com/belly-butter-recipe/) during my last pregnancy. I have gotten stretch marks on my legs in the past from weight gain (during my teenage years) but not one in my last pregnancy, so I’m using it again this time!
