Names for twin boys

Helllo everyone, I'm pregnant with twin boys with due date in September. I'm almost sure at this point that we're going to name one of them Alex. Just Alex, not Alexander. But choosing the other name is so hard! Felix is our top runner and I have a love-hate relationship when it comes to "Alex and Felix". These names sound good together but I'm worried they might be too matchy for twins! Different names that we like are Luca, Rene and Ben. Let me know what you think! New suggestions are welcome as well :)

I love Felix but wouldn't pair it with twin Alex. Of your options I'd go with Alex and Ben. Suggesting

I agree that Alex and Felix are too similar. Your other names sound good. Alex and Ben can bond over the question “Is that short for…?” 😉 jk.

I do not know why, but I have always liked the Alex/Hayden combination.

I love the names Alex and Ben. 

Personally, I think you should name a kid without the assumption you’ll use a nickname. So I like that if you’re going to call him Alex you’re just going to name him Alex. My husband goes by his middle name and it’s always really complicated when we do legal things because what we call him isn’t what’s on his paperwork. I think that experience is similar with nicknames.
