My nausea has mostly passed, but the fatigue is brutal. All we did today was take our toddler for a walk and then my dad came over in the afternoon and I am drained. Luckily my kid is happily playing on his own while MH cooks dinner so I can take a bit of a break.
I’m exhausted and starving all the time. I wake up in the middle of the night like awaking from a year long fast, so hungry that I’m nauseous. I eat and then go back to bed only to wake up a few hours later starving again, LOL. I’m also either freezing or burning up.
@chani84 omg what is that freezing one minute and burning up the next thing???? I hate it. I do not remember these temperature fluctuations in my first pregnancy.
I am very tired, extreme hunger hits me all the time, I get nauseated if I don’t eat right when that hunger hits (sometimes in the middle of the night which is why I have cheerios on my nightstand), and I am SO emotional (especially lately around 7/8/9 weeks). My emotions feel really hard to control and I sometimes get quite overwhelmed and get anxiety symptoms (such as chest pain, shaking, crying). I’ve also noticed more protectiveness of my relationship as well which unfortunately manifest as jealousy sometimes. I feel like this makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint though and it must be hardwired into my brain to really hold on to my partner right now 🙃 Would love to hear if anyone else is experiencing this part!
@knottie That does make sense from an evolutionary standpoint! I think it can be so helpful to frame some of these mood shifts in that evolution lens. For example, the emotion of anxiety is really all about assessing for threat and wanting to feel safe. So ramped up anxiety during this time fits also!
Also. I need me some nightstand cheerios! I love this idea 😁
@alpacamama2 thank you for the validation! The overwhelming emotions are what motivated me to find a forum to chat with other pregnant mamas so I’m thankful you’ve already responded ❤️ And yes the nightstand cereal is key for me! I hope you benefit from it too lol. My 2 and 4 am bathroom trips are always accompanied by a couple handfuls which stave off the nausea til morning 😅
@AmMcc12 I overdid it last week pulling my DS in his sled. There was a lot of snow and I definitely felt it in my lower belly that day. I also had one cramp last night. Which I'm surprised I haven't had yet because I had them from early last time around.
10 weeks here and I’m having headaches! I don’t have any other “watch out” symptoms but it’s a little concerning. I can finally eat breakfast and lunch but dinner is where it all falls apart. Fatigue is still strong, I mopped the floors yesterday and that sent me to be 2 hours early.
I vomited for the first time yesterday 🤪 And now my 1yo has a stomach bug or something so I'm questioning if my nausea is pregnancy or something else. 🤔
@mimser We got hit with the norovirus in January and it was NOT fun. I really hope it isn't that again!! So far she only vomited once and slept a lot. So she seems to be on the mend. 🤞
@alpacamama2 Fingers crossed that's all it was for you guys! Here my son had one suspect poop, my fiancé was very sick for like 4 days and i was nauseous for the same amount of time and only threw up once!
Just hit 11 weeks today and sleeping these last couple of weeks has been crap! I fall asleep, have a weird dream, wake up, toss and turn and the cycle repeats all night long. I'm so tired by morning and don't even get me started on trying to survive the afternoon slump! The weird dreams have been happening for quite a few weeks now, but the crappy sleep has only been the last couple of weeks.
The nausea has been ridiculous for me so far! Which is weird because I didn't have any for my first pregnancy. Guess I'm making up for it now. Also exhaustion! I'm running after a 2 year old most of the day, so that doesn't help lol. Some days I feel like I'm begging her to take a nap just so I can. 😂😂
I’m 11 weeks now and still nauseous and throwing up but not as much as the last few weeks. Also been really fatigued by the end of the day. Still having a hard time knowing what to eat (everything just does not sound good to me, but then if I don’t eat I get really hungry), lol gosh really hoping the 2nd trimester is as magical as people say
im 8 weeks tomorrow with my first pregnancy. ive been soo nauseated all day and some days i still throw up all day🙊 it definitely is related to having GERD but man im dying over here, definitely hoping the 2nd trimester treats me better lol. & cravings! lately all i want is fruit, yogurt, and popsicles lol

Hope you are all recovered now!
